Well i followed all the steps, the only one that stumped me was the fact i didnt have an INI file so i looked it up and did it. looks like i can play the damn thing, thanks
BRO MARRY ME, I'VE BEEN WANTING TO INSTALL IT SINCE 2023, every tutorial gave me crashes, glitches and one caused a big mess that I had to go factory reset to my laptop Ty sm
I hope this one works well, I found another video guide but it required that I install some kinda wabbajack thing and install like 600 mods manually, which I do not have the lifetime for.
There maybe a problem as of now, the Mod Organizer 2 app isn't working.. I've tried running and reinstalling the program a few times but it fails to operate or run. Not entirely sure what's going on with it.
I really like your style of tutorial, i know it’s a tall task but i was wondering if you could do a tutorial on the Wild Card Wabbajack list, new to modding and it looks awesome. If not thanks anyways!
i liked the video for being short sweet and very concise. idk if it works yet but if it does youll get a subscriber as youll be the first guide thats worked for me if not ill leave the like but wont be able to subscribe as ill be very occupied gulping as much deezers lemonade i need to hold back the tears! EDIT:it worked man you earned that sub you are awesome i must have watched like 8 videos each time was a failure thanks so much man!
So I have 50 mods installed on my New Vegas through vortex. I have NVSE, JIP, Johnny Guitar, and the 4gb patch already. Do I really have to nuke everything for this to work? I don't see why I can't just install the main mods and then do the ini thing.
I could make a dedicated video for this. However to save you time waiting for that you can check out my other video “Modding New Vegas Using Wabbajack” or w/e it’s called. In that I show you how to download modlists. That would definitely break it down for you
is there a way for me to keep my mods when doing this? i just bought FO3 for the first time and already got so many mods on nv right now + dont wanna lose my progress and dont really feel like deleting everything there
For some reason I keep getting an error because fallout nv should not be installed in program files but steam does not let me change the path when installing. How would I go around this?
@ steam didn’t let me do that for some reason it would fail when trying to launch the game if the games weren’t in my program files directory I think as of recently you aren’t able to not sure but after doing some research I was able to figure out this steam libraries tool that pretty much lets you compartmentalize your hard drive I was able to make a second steam library as if it was another hard drive and installed the game there I’m 300 mods in now I have the game running almost perfect to how I want it other than the occasional crash from time to time but I have always experienced that with new Vegas, never really had that issue on FO3 when I had them as independent games I had it to about 200 mods and playing really well then I compressed the bsa’s thinking id get more performance out of it and everything had red exclamation marks on it Everyone on Google was saying it was a mod causing mesh issues but I literally deleted them all 1 by 1 and it was none It was the stupid bsa decompressor It’s known to cause the game to loose files I had to delete everything n start all over again I finally got it to my liking yesterday Lol I’m running TTW x FNC
I need help, i make everything good but when i start the game nothing changes, is only fnv and theres NO diference, i tough i make something wrong in this moment 3:31 can i get help pls. i really want to install this game and i dont know know, someone have any desk to help me to install this? PLS HELP ME I WANT TO PLAY FALLOUT 3
The Heap Replacer wont start the game, its shows a black box saying i should use: "AVX2", but i dont know if that means i need to delete the files not related to AVX2, what should i do?
To me that sounds like a possible solution? You could always try both methods you suggested. For me though this worked out of the box without any configuring. So I’m a bit confused by this as well. My advice is make you’re extracting the mod to your root directory
@@Nihlxxstic i did everything that the mod page and The Best of Times Guide said, the black terminal box shows as intented but it just won't start the game
@@thewanderer9531 if the best of times can’t provide you an answer I’m afraid I’m not any more knowledgeable than it would be. I would suggest checking NVHR nexus page and troubleshooting there.
sorry you got screwed by this guy's shitty tutorial bro, seems he just gives up halfway through and just assumes you will be able to figure out how to install half the files yourself (they don't all follow the same format lmao)
Check out the written guide in the description, I PROMISE that it’s super easy to follow. The video is based on it, and it honestly does a better job than any video could!
hey, when Bethesda updated FO3 to remove windows live, i had to grab .exe files from GOG FO3. and my Mod Organizer 2 doesn't switch to my FO3 instance. should i do a fresh install?
Anything having to do with the GOG version of the game I’m afraid I’m unfamiliar with. However, this video was made using the OFFICIAL guide. It’s incredibly informative and gives a very detailed breakdown. thebestoftimes.moddinglinked.com/index.html
is there a reasom the links you provided are out of order, or a reason you didnt link most of the mods you mention in the video? pretty baffling tbh...
@@sadesvaska3536 The other mods are simply drag and drop to install. I covered the ones that required more than that. I also believe I did link every mod necessary for A Tale of Two Wastelands. My bad if my video wasn't more simpler to follow. However, I did link a guide that was written by the creators of this mod! It thoroughly breaks it all down more than I ever could!
Did you paste it into the correct tab? Could be as simple as that, if not I’m afraid that’s too vague for me to troubleshoot. I’d suggest going through each step carefully, and if it still isn’t working for you - refer to the best of times guide, link in desc. Hope this helps!
I fixed it The problem was it was that your fallout custom in in the video is slightly outdated everything was correct except for the audio, background load, general, and the grass part of the fallout custom in go to the modpub ttw faq to understand what I mean thanks anyways dawg

Mine runs out of program files and it’s telling me to reinstall the games in another file… not sure how to do that.
Sorry, to ask when are you going to make the one for Vortex ? Because I am not used to MO2.
This is hands down the best guide I've seen in awhile. You're awesome man!
Happy to hear it helped you!

Do I have to use Mo2? the last time I tried to install it both steam versions were corrupt and I lost all progress in new vegas.

Hey quick question it says on the setup nv must not be installed in program files folder , what should I do ?
Do you only need to extract NVSE to the Root Folder? You don't need to run it first?
Correct, just extract it to the root folder as seen in the video. No need to run it as is, hope this helps!
So I have 50 mods installed on my New Vegas through vortex. I have NVSE, JIP, Johnny Guitar, and the 4gb patch already.

You could certainly try, but as always anyone would recommend doing it from scratch. I think you may be fine though, never really know however

for me i just dragged each game folder out. drag the whole game file from where its normally installed into a different folder

I was able to make a second steam library as if it was another hard drive and installed the game there
I’m 300 mods in now I have the game running almost perfect to how I want it other than the occasional crash from time to time but I have always experienced that with new Vegas, never really had that issue on FO3 when I had them as independent games
I had it to about 200 mods and playing really well then I compressed the bsa’s thinking id get more performance out of it and everything had red exclamation marks on it
Everyone on Google was saying it was a mod causing mesh issues but I literally deleted them all 1 by 1 and it was none
It was the stupid bsa decompressor
It’s known to cause the game to loose files
I had to delete everything n start all over again

i cant find the falloutcustom ini file anywhere
Just downloladed MO2. Do I create a global instance or a portable instance? Thanks for your vid.
