In my opinion, Gorod Krovi and Der EisenDrache handled nostalgia perfectly. It brought things that reminded us of old zombies but it still innovated. This to me was the biggest thing Black Ops 4 was missing

Yeah, I do. It was boring because there was nothing to do, and it got mind numbingly boring once we hit round 50. New zombies is much better. I have nostalgia for waw, but damn it was too simple. Same with bo1.

Ryan Bollinger you're not part of the majority then. The chances are your fairly old and we're already decent at video games when u started playing zombies. Me being an 8 year old when I started playing meant it was very difficult to get past round 8 and was very enjoyable

If we go with that logic than you're kinda saying motd and origins aren't preferred by the majority, as the maps focus a lot on the story and quests instead of just surviving. But then again, i've played zombies since 2011 and I still remember the feeling when I first heard Samantha's voice saying "fetch me their souls" in Kino and boy oh boy the feeling is irreplaceable

The atmosphere still felt like a WAW and BO1 map. The dragons just made it even better.
@@divante03 ah yes, the robots and futuristic tech really has waw and bo1 vibes. The only real sci fi stuff in waw and bo1 are the teleporters aside from moon and the wonder weapons. I don't think gorod feels like a bo1 or waw map. Especially not a waw map. I don't see how anyone could get the vibes of nacht, verrükt, shi no numa or der riese in gorod.
@@devastatheseeker9967 but the map literally takes place in Stalingrad. I think it really does give those WAW and BO1 vibes. Personally I don't see an issue with the dragons and robots, it gives the map more personality. Also robots and dragons have been around since BO2.

Idk why but I never have ee problems on this map der eisendrache on the other hand is probably the most glitchiest zombies experience I have ever had as soon as I kill the boss before blowing up the moon I enter a kill zone/insta down.
Brian Jong gorod ee has been unbeatable for almost a year now on consoles you can get to the cutscene but then your game crashes 100% of the time

Brian Jong bruh on DE I had to build the void bow. And I finished the crawlers but it didn’t give me the name and I had to reset and I was about to reach the boss battle.
The only bo3 true bo3 zombies map that i enjoyed so much i couldn't stop playing it. All the bo3 maps are okay, but i hate big set ups so i rather play bo1, but this map..... This fucking map, argh it just gets me so excited to play this as i write this😅

Set up perks in Moon is annoying, and ascension is a bit boring with the lunar landers thing, on Five you always have no money but that map is one of BO1 best maps along side with Shangri La, Call of the Dead and Ascension.
Glenn Rhee Right? That’s why DE is fun, it’s not a chore to play. Gorod is like that but the Easter egg almost ruins it
I love all the BO3 maps. Think people overreact on the setup process for most of these maps, it's really not that bad.
Shadows, Der Eisandrache, Zetsubo, Gorod, even Revelations are all so memorable. BO3 has the best zombies.
If all the lava in bo2 tranzit was gone and could only be there temporarily by dragons it would hands down be one of the best map
In my subjective opinion; I believe that the specialist weapon on this map is the best and most unique of all bops3.
Talking about subjectivity, the introduction of the dragon shield, the "ray gun mk III", DRAGONS, and Sophia's AI are what gave this map its incredible vibe. I was blown away after first playing. Didn't do too well, haha! But I got better. We all did!
This man just said every map felt complicated even though just to pap is a mini Easter egg in gorod and said paping is like turning on 3 teleporters dis guy is confusing
Every time I play gorod krovi, I always get black ops 1 vibes from it. That's one of the biggest reasons way I love that map, even revaluations did the same thing, but when it comes to black ops 1 vibes, to me gorod krovi feels much more like a black ops 1 map.

The only thing I don’t like about this map was how bright and colourful it was. Those are words you don’t use to describe Stalingrad during WWII.
It's maps like these that really get me going. Like the design and lore leaves many questions to be asked. Like how on the ridable dragon there is an iron cross, did the Nazis in this universe controlling dragons?we're they dragons? Did they rebirth them with element 115 and old bones they found? What happened to the dead dragons, do the Soviets have their own dragons?what of the planes and bombers?how do they function with the presence of dragons flying about. Where did the valley drones come from? Why are there so many eggs? These questions reside within me and are never answered and its almost sad. You could make a whole video game based off of the concept of gorod Krovi alone. And it's a shame there won't ever be one.

A thing you should have mentioned is the Soviet anthem that plays at the start of the boss, nearly brought a tear to my eye, as I felt Activision was trying to say Nikolia is the Soviet fighting spirit.

I remember when my game crashed on the valkilrye drones round, and how excited was when it first came out. Definitely had waw and bo1 vibes
Okay in every call of duty map that has some historic past has the King Tiger. It is in black ops 3 on a multiplayer map and in Stalingrad. The king tiger did not debut until 1944 which is about 3-4 years after Barbarossa. Same with cod ww2. Several including Saint Marie dumont, Ardennes forest, and operation griffin. The only map the had a different tank was Gustav canon which had 2 stug 3s. Which really serves no purpose because they were far away from combat and only open to air attacks. Which AA would be a better choice. So yea Tiger 2s were few and far between they were not seen in such huge numbers as the panzer 4

That was the last map I truly enjoy playing..
Never in my life would I think that Bo 3 map would be classic.

My only problem with this map is that the manglers and the drones are too much danger and then there’s a dragon that just gonna breathe fire on your only escape route

It was a gem for a full week, but this is the map that started a reoccurring theme with every zombie map, where i need something new with as much content and gameplay as gorod

The two problem that i have with the map is that the ee is still glitched and the ranged attacks can screw you over. The other problem that I have is a BO3 problem that the gobblegums and double pap makes all of the maps way too easy.

Not defending Nazis or anything, but I wouldn’t consider the soviets the “greater good”, considering that the Soviet minorities like the Ukrainians initially welcomed the Nazis as liberators; which is a pretty good display of how the US and British allying with the soviets wasn’t a “good vs evil” kind of alliance, but rather a situation where “the enemy of my enemy is my friend”.

Except for the fact that the Easter egg is far too fucking difficult for any normal player because of how hard the zombies hit. The steps are difficult, but for whatever reason they hit harder on this map and this map alone
Gorod is really good but was super buggy at the start and can still be pretty buggy
Are the remastered chronicles maps difficult for high rounds (if you dont use gums) I never know if im good at the game or if bo3 is just carrying me

Honestly while I can definitely see why people love gorod krovi as much as they do, it really never clicked for me. That doesn’t make it a bad map by any means, it’s still objectively great
For me personally adding the robots and the dragons really was a turn off. That along with just adding random shit to the storyline from outta nowhere made the experience feel rushed and unnatural. Still a great map tho.

Joey Butters the dragons suck. They are easily up there with the most annoying things in zombies. The dragons can be as annoying as the denizens, George, jumper-fuckers, or anything else you hate in zombies, the dragons are probably worse.

Joey Butters i put it pretty far down in my list of all maps. i’m weird and definitely in the minority for it, but i just never understood why people liked it. i don’t even like watching people play it. usually i can watch maps like tranzit or die rise but could never sit down and play them myself. but gorod i just can’t even watch. i honestly never got the appeal. it’s great people loved it, but i couldn’t get into it.
