They relying on their fast, most of them choose to using a thin cloth or less cloth type outfit just like Ghislaine "Even on Winter". What they do : - Aggressive Attack - sneaky Attack - immediate Attack - Straight jump Attack User : - Eris (Advanced) - Paul (Advanced) - Ghislaine Sword King 2. *_NORTH_* God Style They literally use Anything to support their fight, some of them using like Overpower Armor or Sword basically Pay to Win. But it doesn't mean they can't fight, they quite good using unique technique, Unique Sword and adaptive to literally any unique equipment. I've just said that they using anything, beside using unique equipment they using cheap and dirty tricks. Not only that they also have Sword Throwing Technique and Dual Wielding technique. What they do : - Using Hostages - Using Poison - Throwing Sword - Distraction after they give Distraction they will Attack you User : - Paul - North Saint Gallus Cleaner, - North God "Kalman" - Orsted 3. *_WATER_* God Style Basically Defensive type Sword Style, they literally only Standing on their Stances wait for an Attack or Standing on their Stances while Deflecting, Blocking all the Attack. Sword god style isn't sneaky at all, they're in your face aggressive. North god style is sneaky because they're all about using tools and tricks and the environment.
Nah they're quite sneaky though, they will attack you when you're not even notice their appearance. Of course they not always do that, but everytime they got chance to attack before the enemy notice them they will charge with Sword of Light, Like what Eris did on the OVA. But I think the word sneaky it's not right, but it's kinda like that they will attack you when you not ready. 😶👍
Non-spoiler fight details: Orsted crushed Rudy's lungs with his first attack- standard battle tactic for fighting mages that usually have to speak to cast spells. Also, Rudeus's purple fire spell was supposed to be the equivalent of a small nuke. It likely would've killed everyone had Orsted not absorbed it. He didn't know he was doing it, he was just putting his entire mana reserve into the spell while picturing a nuclear explosion.
18:38 paul blame rudeus for not looking for information about the teleportation incident, now rudeus asked about the teleportation and almost died so its all going around back to paul lol jokeaside yeah he owes an apology
Btw Rudy can't use incantation-less healing because incantation less magic requires a lot of imagination. He doesn't know the medical technicalities of healing so he can't imagine it. In his inner monologue in the light novel, he said that maybe if he was a doctor in his past life, he would be able to use incantation-less healing in this world.
If it's written in the novel then that's strange, because a certain someone will use incatationless healing and i don't think "they" know a single thing about medical technicalities or anatomy. So this sounds like the weakest theory
but Rudy did have a reason to confront him. In his eyes, he saw how scared Ruijerd and Eris were, but since Orsted's curse doesn't affect him, he wasn't scared. As someone who he thought was more level-headed in that situation, he thought he would ease their fear by being friendly and showing that they were simply curious.
This episode adapted that chapter masterfully IMO, really captured that "WTF" moment I experienced when reading the LN. Frontloading the Orsted reveal only to then flash back a few days primes the audience to expect something to go wrong, so it is almost as if we are also affected by Orsted's curse of fear when we first meet him. Also, the decision to have Ruijerd use the same technique against Orsted that he used in his sparring session with Eris earlier on to illustrate how outclassed Dead End is in this situation? *Chef's kiss* I think the anime does a bad job at showing why Rudeus acted so trusting with Orsted, mainly due to two aspects: The addition of the bull jumping down the cliff (this did not happen in the LN) and by how the conversation is going in the anime. It is hard to emphasize how polite Orsted is being while talking to the party in this chapter in the LN. He's almost talking to Ruijerd as if he is meeting an old friend and shows no signs of aggression towards them. Even after Rudeus asks him questions, he is very cordial with them and only gets suspicious once he realises that Rudeus is Pauls son that in his mind should not exist (whatever this means). So in my opinion, Rudeus is not really acting out of character or being dumb in this situation. The Rudeus/Orsted dynamic is really spicy just from this one episode honestly, with Rudeus being probably the only person in this world capable of emphasizing with Orsted, even after the guy punched a hole into his chest...
The other mayor reason why he began to distrust Rudeous, right before he asked if he knows of Hitogami (Man-god) is how he called the disaster. He said Mana-disaster (which he learned from Hitogami), while normal people only know it as teleportation incident.
You will learn to fear the words "Turning Point" in an episode title. 2:45 "I don't think we can fight one yet." One? Have you ever played Morrowind, by any chance? Red Wyrms swarm like Cliffracers. 4:10 classic Rudeus. These "Goddammit, Rudy!" moments are always good comedy. At one point The Fangs of the Black Wolf (Paul's party) had to run for their lives to flee from a Red Wyrm when they got too close to their territory. One of those "seemed like a good idea at the time" sorts of things. A Red Wyrm's materials can fetch a lot of money. 8:50 Orsted actually went easy on Ruijerd. He just wanted him out of the way. But the scare is effective. 9:15 "He doesn't know what to protect" is indeed the case. He saw four simultaneous futures: his head getting popped, his throat getting crushed, his heart being pierced, and his lungs ruptured. 10:20 Technique God, Dragon God, Fighting God, Demon God, Death God, Sword God, North God. 11:40 that is plasma. Dense, superhot plasma. He intends to nuke the mountainside. This is indeed one of the top episodes of the first season, if not the series so far. Orsted just comes out of nowhere, nukes the party, heals Rudeus, then leaves while refusing to elaborate.
I want to point out to the guys a few things that helps. First off this is probably the first time Eris has ever felt so helpless. Calling out to anybody she knew in her life that has protected her was heart breaking. Even though she is a great warrior and swordsman, even Rudeus with his eye can beat her. With magic he is so much stronger than her as well, all of this with him being younger than her. Just helping understand her state of mind.
Funny how they spell out that the girl isn't scared of Orsted and how the curse doesn't work on people from another world, but they don't put the two together :D
Yeah Rudy's weakness is prolly that he can't read the room well enough. That prolly stems from him being a shut-in in his previous life. We saw the effect of that when he first met Paul again. He didn't read the room well in the bar and continued to tell his story in a happy way. But yeah, like the others said, he was trying to obtain information since he and Paul had that misunderstanding due to him not looking for information hard enough. I think this time he activated his gamer brain and tried to acquire as much information as possible with people he meets. Problem is there's no save scumming in this life.
I actually disagree with this, Rudeus is always reading the room to not offend anybody to the point that people around him are weirded out by how cautious he behaves around others. I think a few different factors were responsible for why Rudeus acted the way he did while meeting Orsted: 1) Not being affected by Orsted's curse is a big one. The bull running off the cliff is an addition the anime made, so just Rudeus and Eris tensing up is not much of an indicator for the danger that they are facing in the moment. 2) Might not have come across as well in the anime, but during the encounter, Orsted was extremely polite while talking to the party, to the point that Rudeus even thought that he might be an old friend of Ruijerd with how familiar he acted with him. Same thing when Rudeus asked him questions, Orsted was generally very cordial until Rudeus let his connection with Hitogami slip. And lastly, as you mentioned, Rudeus was sort of on a high after managing to find Lilia and Aisha, so he was really trying hard to gather more information about the Mana Disaster, leading to him revealing too much to a very dangerous person.
He also has established precedent in opening a dialogue with someone everyone fears: Ruijerd. But he also felt the same about Orsted as he feels whenever he's with the Man-God, so he thought he must know something.
Having read the LNs, without spoiling anything: Rudeus is just an idiot. He’s basically gotten through life because he has a high mana pool that Orsted mentions in this episode, and having some knowledge of fantasy stories from his previous life that spurred him to learn magic at a younger than normal age. The rest is just following the Man-God instructions.
We know the eye of foresight sees a future with 5s ahead he saw 3 eris. Now imagine 1s ahdad but orsted is so fast and powerful rudy actually saw so many ways he could have attacked. Rudy had no idea which one was gonna happen
There are schools of martial/magic arts, like North, Water, Sword god styles and Water, Fire, Wind magic. Then there are levels within each of these schools. The top of the school is called God. So, the top of the Sword god style, is the Sword god. That's because the guy that created the style had the title of sword god. Dragon God, Technique god, etc. are titles. If the Technique god creates a martial style, it would be called Technique God school. It seems complex, but it makes sense if you think about schools like business: you can be President of a company, President of a nation, and have the people call you "The President of parties".
You know it’s kinda funny that whenever a turning point episode comes out or a deep emotional moment happens in MT we the LN readers always say “Just you wait till turning point 4”

Sooooo the thing he fired at Orsted at the end is basicly the closest thing to a nuke in this world. its so much condensed flame and heat (you can see the ice in the surrounding melting) that basicly no one else except Orsted could have taken the hit like this.
18:43 Rudeus should have read the room. After 20 years, hiding in his bedroom, his social skills are atrophied. 20:45 Rudy's magic on a par with LaPlace. No. Orsted said his *mana reserves* are on a par with LaPlace. Rudy walks around with a giant gas tank of mana. He still learning magic and hasn't learned much recently.
I see it as the opposite how most react even when I first saw it. Most people say it was a mistake. I see it as a pure benefit. Rudeus didn't lose anything and only gained knowledge and introduced himself. Had this encounter happened later in life it's highly likely Rudeus would've been taken more seriously as a threat and he would've been instant killed instead of left to die slowly, Orsted would've made sure that a magic user of that caliber is dead.

There are three main sword styles: the Sword God Style, the Water God Style, and the North God Style. In both swordsmanship and magic, the highest rank a practitioner can achieve is called God Rank. This means that many individuals can hold the title of "God" without actually being divine or godlike. It’s important to note that the "God" in the titles like Technique God or Dragon God is unrelated to the God Rank in swordsmanship or magic. For example, even if someone reaches the God Rank in the Sword God Style, Water God Style, or North God Style, they are still far weaker than one of the Seven Great Powers. However, an exceptional God-ranked swordsman might become so skilled that they could rise to the level of the Seven Great Powers. And yes, they are wyverns but it is litterly said in the books humans just call them dragisn because they fky and are dangerous, hukans just are bad at naming things
hell nah ruijerd isnt emperror when *someone* king lvl in sword god style killed enemie ruijerd didnt notice that the enemie have gotten kut in half already it took him more than a few seconds so he is saint lvl at best

One of the best introductions of a villain, or antagonist, or whatever Orsted will end up being, that I've ever seen.

Yeah Rudy's weakness is prolly that he can't read the room well enough. That prolly stems from him being a shut-in in his previous life. We saw the effect of that when he first met Paul again. He didn't read the room well in the bar and continued to tell his story in a happy way. But yeah, like the others said, he was trying to obtain information since he and Paul had that misunderstanding due to him not looking for information hard enough. I think this time he activated his gamer brain and tried to acquire as much information as possible with people he meets. Problem is there's no save scumming in this life.
I actually disagree with this, Rudeus is always reading the room to not offend anybody to the point that people around him are weirded out by how cautious he behaves around others. I think a few different factors were responsible for why Rudeus acted the way he did while meeting Orsted:
1) Not being affected by Orsted's curse is a big one. The bull running off the cliff is an addition the anime made, so just Rudeus and Eris tensing up is not much of an indicator for the danger that they are facing in the moment.
2) Might not have come across as well in the anime, but during the encounter, Orsted was extremely polite while talking to the party, to the point that Rudeus even thought that he might be an old friend of Ruijerd with how familiar he acted with him. Same thing when Rudeus asked him questions, Orsted was generally very cordial until Rudeus let his connection with Hitogami slip.
And lastly, as you mentioned, Rudeus was sort of on a high after managing to find Lilia and Aisha, so he was really trying hard to gather more information about the Mana Disaster, leading to him revealing too much to a very dangerous person.
He also has established precedent in opening a dialogue with someone everyone fears: Ruijerd.
But he also felt the same about Orsted as he feels whenever he's with the Man-God, so he thought he must know something.
Having read the LNs, without spoiling anything: Rudeus is just an idiot. He’s basically gotten through life because he has a high mana pool that Orsted mentions in this episode, and having some knowledge of fantasy stories from his previous life that spurred him to learn magic at a younger than normal age. The rest is just following the Man-God instructions.

There are schools of martial/magic arts, like North, Water, Sword god styles and Water, Fire, Wind magic. Then there are levels within each of these schools. The top of the school is called God. So, the top of the Sword god style, is the Sword god. That's because the guy that created the style had the title of sword god. Dragon God, Technique god, etc. are titles. If the Technique god creates a martial style, it would be called Technique God school. It seems complex, but it makes sense if you think about schools like business: you can be President of a company, President of a nation, and have the people call you "The President of parties".

I see it as the opposite how most react even when I first saw it. Most people say it was a mistake. I see it as a pure benefit. Rudeus didn't lose anything and only gained knowledge and introduced himself. Had this encounter happened later in life it's highly likely Rudeus would've been taken more seriously as a threat and he would've been instant killed instead of left to die slowly, Orsted would've made sure that a magic user of that caliber is dead.
