    My mum is 100% Ghanaian lived in the UK 30+ years and she gets over charged. It's nothing to do with your skin colour but the fact they know you don't live locally and know you have £, $ or €.

      In Gh it's all about haggling same as Morocco etc. Don't accept the first price they give you (taxi, markets etc) the prices are not set. Like it is in the west.

      I'm Ugandan and whenever I go shopping I make sure not to speak so they don't hear my English accent. You just know they'll overcharge you

    yass I'm fante too, and dont worry I lived in Ghana for 13 years and I'm fluent in twi but still can't read it, it hard, I also failed my twi classes, speaking it is easy, learning to read it, haaa don't go there kraa

      Obroni means stranger/outsider, I am 100% Ghanaian born and breed in London and I get called obroni too. It goes back the the colonial time. When the white man to Ghana. You will see fair/light skin and mixed children born and breed in Ghana and they don't get obroni.

      +Osei-tutu Bonsu thanks! Ahemaa is the Twi word for the queens(the plural of queen - which is ohemaa in Twi)

    Yeah I also had that problem with our schools. Especially with the cutting of the hair. White students don't cut their hair but we blacks were always beaten to cut our hair. I did not like that while I was in high school
