Hi sheepdog - sounds like a migraine aura I lose my sight as you describe and sometimes have numbness on one side so scary when it’s your first one. Also I’ve had migraine for years but as soon as you seek medical assistance during one they have to rule out stroke first every time . Hope you’re ok now. X
As soon as you started the story about feeling weird in the car and seeing half your face I instantly thought Migraine because I've suffered with them throughout my life and your story mimics exactly how mine usually play out. I have the migraine aura for about 45 mins which is the vision loss thing, then after my vision returns I'll have about 30 mins of slight confusion and after that the headache hits like a truck. I usually have a migraine hangover for a day or so afterwards where I'm a bit spacey. They scared the life out of me when I first had one but throughout the years on the unlucky day I get one I've learnt to remind myself that it's okay and that I've been here before, take a migraleve and go to bed. It always shocks people when I explain what happens because most people who haven't had a full blown migraine just think it's a bad headache but they are far more unpleasant than that. Seeing as it's your first it's a good idea to have the checks but nothing you said in that video made me think it was anything other than a bad migraine.
@@SheepdogSays no problem, they are always scary tbh but once you've faced a few you kind of come up with a system or routine of dealing with them. I have between 1-2 a year usually, often when the climate changes or when I used to drink or even smell coffee I'd get them (migraines are weird) I had my first when I was around 12 or 13 so I know ones coming before it does now.
Please go straight in if it happens again... I really hope it isn't a stroke .. xx I had my stroke at 39 and the same as you said oh it's just a bad migraine... How wrong was I...!!! 2 years Down the line and a stroke in tow I have also been diagnosed with hemiplegic migraines which are basically a migraine that mimics a stroke. Horrific in everyway thinkable... but you to live with it with the help family friends and a fantastic neurologist... xx
@@SheepdogSays I'm doing really well now and have like an EpiPen for the hemiplegic migraines. Hope it's just a horrible one off for you. Wishing you a speedy recovery. Here if you wish to talk/message about it at all... xx
That sounds horrible! I'm sorry. That's like something out of a movie. Sending best wishes from Arizona. I hope everything will come back okay. You did make me laugh when you described the paramedics.....really tall and awesome ambulance people lol
Thank you, I can't shake the thought of how tall they are from my memory of the events. I was sitting down though and pretty out of it so I imagine if I saw them right now they'd look normal sized! I just remember them being really really kind and lovely - giant - people.
Wow! It does sound similar to a mini stroke. My mom has had a few. And you do not need to be old or unhealthy to have a stroke. My classmate had one, a major one, when she was 35 and she was very fit. So -do not take any chances, if you feel like that, go to the hospital. If it is nothing, its nothing, if it is a stroke, the best possibility to help is within the first 4 hours.
Please don't wait if you should start feeling like something is happening again. If you get to the hospital for testing right away, they might be able to pin point what is going on. Please be sure to have food in your stomach when you take the aspirin, it can cause stomach pains or something worse. The aspirin will help, please take it. I feel very upset about what has happened to you, you are so young. It might be the side effects of the testosterone, but it would be nice to know for sure. Make sure you feel one hundred percent well before you drive your car. Bless you, Claire and the children. 🇺🇸
All I got out of this video is that you finally admitted you had a bald patch.
Kevin Chapman Haha Kev
Meany!

Look after yourself man. Never know what's round the corner. Remember your over 210 in dog years.
I probably ate some chocolate out of a bin or something foolish.

Thanks Luke, reassuring in one way. Eye opening in the other about what’s potentially ahead.
