  • The Hennepin County Attorney's office launched a new program to get innocent people out of jail. Several national studies estimate in the U.S. one out of every 20 people found guilty are wrongly convicted. Esme Murphy heard from a man today who spent nearly 20 years in prison for a murder he did not commit. She explains how this program will work.

This DA needs to get the F out of office. From day 1, she's only advocated for criminals.

I think that reviewing evidence before you bring the case forward is a good idea. But the primary role of a prosecutor is to protect victims. This county attorney seems to pay scant attention to the victims of crime, focusing on prosecuting police officers.
