So glad I don’t have those chains of fear around my neck. I’m so glad I’ve been set free from asking my “pastor” permission to select a career, to pick a spouse, and to use the restroom. I’m so glad I no longer feel obligated to hand my hard earned money over to my pastor so he can take all of his preacher friends out for dinner and leave me out. I’m so glad I’m no longer submitted to a man, but to Jesus Christ who’s the head of all things. I’m praying for all of you who may be afraid to speak up for fear you think you’re speaking up against God. That’s the scariest part, is the fact they got you to believe that what they say is a command of God. Thank God I’ve been delivered from legalism.

Sounds like you’ve had some bad experiences. I’m sorry for that. I respect your opinion but I don’t share it. I’ve been delivered from the fear of being where you are right now. It’s liberating to not live in fear and to be apart of the body of Christ. I love what I get in return for all those things you say you’re delivered from. Apparently you’ve experienced some sort of spiritual abuse and that’s sad but that’s not my story. I love the church. I’ve had godly pastors. I give because I also receive, and my pastors have been genuine men of God who cared about ny soul. I’ve never experienced abuse. And I’ve reaped way more than I have sown. I love the church!! I’m a product of the church and my Jesus died for the church. I love the church because Jesus loves the church. The church is the body of Christ. He doesn’t hate his own body and neither do I. And he gave pastors so I respect them and am blessed. May God bless and heal you, child of God.

With some restaurants, the food and atmosphere are so good you happily pay the bill and tip and can't wait to return. Other restaurants, serve yesterday's dried-out leftovers on used paper plates, have an ornery waitress and dirty, smelly bathrooms.

If the United Pentecostal Church is the church everyone needs to go to, where was someone supposed to go to church in the year 1352?

The devil knows people want to be a part of something, a community and be loved and accepted and uses it against them to lead them into false religion and cults.

I agree with what brother Bernard says but also what happens when you see or hear about certain leaders or preachers that commit sinful acts and they continue preaching?… what do you do?… continue going to that local church?, can you report them for practicing sinful acts?… or do you just look for another church and leave the church where the leader of the church is practicing ungodly acts, how can you be accountable to those who give such bad examples?… thanks again brother Bernard for such insight and sharing your wisdom. Look forward to the next podcast.

That's a hard situation to deal with, for sure.
I think the first thing to keep in mind is that we are all sinners. Just because someone is a church leader doesn't make them not a sinner... I'm not trying to justify continuing in sin, I'm just opening with grace. All have sinned and come short of the glory of God. Becoming a church leader doesn't make someone perfect.
The follow up to that, though, is exactly what Jesus tells us in Matthew 18:15-17. Church leaders are still your brothers. So, start where Jesus says to start: by going to them personally. Ideally, they'll hear you out and you'll have saved your brother (or sister).
If that doesn't solve the problem, go again with witnesses. I would recommend other leaders from the church, if possible. Or an elder that the leader respects. Even pastors need to be subject to authority, so go to their authority figure (their pastor, bishop, or elder).
Hopefully it doesn't come to a point where you have to bring it before the church, or worse, where you have to leave the church... But if it does, I would say do so with much prayer. Prayer should be the key from step 1. God promises wisdom to anyone who asks for it.
I pray God gives you the wisdom you need to deal with this if this is the situation you're in at the moment.
God bless! I hope that this helps.

This is hard. To feel accepted. Going to be honest, I feel judged and pitted. A UPCI church..
Feeling are not reliable. Fellowship is not easy and I hear from others they are judged because ?? Yes I can only speak for myself.

A local church would be great, but UPCI is out of the question, as they will not accept anyone as their own who does not speak in tongues. I am not going through that again. I have a church I study with here on UA-cam so I'll stay with them but I am blessed by the Oneness teachings from Dr. Bernard. In that regard, truth is truth, no matter where you hear it.

Sorry you had to go through that. There’s good and bad in every organization. The UPCI talks about joining a local church for accountability, leadership, and fellowship, but the top of the organization doesn’t provide that at an effective level that trickles down. They hold none of their Pastors accountable for being horrible leaders, nonexistent in the community, and even false doctrine being used in order to control their members. As long as they get their dues everything must be ok. You did the right thing brother! Go somewhere that allows you to grow in the Lord until you have a better understanding of the significance of tongues. Keep the Faith, and don’t drop out the race. GOD BLESS!

Why don't so many of our churches have Communion, or only have it at Christmas/New Year and Easter. Occasionally, they will have it ONLY 4 times a Year Max. However, over the 54 years I've been in the UPCI Apostolic Church - it's been either #1 The y don't have it or #2 It's only done twice a year. Rev. Bernard said in this podcast how can you be a "CHRISTIAN" IF YOU DON'T get together to have Communion? 1 Corinthians 11: 25, 26.

    • @isadormoti6977
      @isadormoti6977 День тому

I believe it is because it's simply not clear what churches do today (a ceremony with little cup of wine and a little round wafer) lines up with what the scriptures describe. Today's communion events in most UPCI churches reflect a hollow Roman Catholic flavored activity; I think many are uncomfortable with this. Foot-washing as well.
