I recommend you listen to "Fly in the freedom" from Sonic Adventure 2, I think it's a very underrated track that you would enjoy.

So I'd never heard the special remix before, what a treat that was! It features Jun Senoue, who's composed several of the tracks you've listened to. He's a legendary Sonic composer, and he was the one shredding on the guitar in the middle. As for the singer duo, I didn't know who Mariana was until I saw her last name, she's Tee's sister so it's pretty cool to see a sibling performance here. I always think it's so incredible to see how far Tee has come as a composer, starting off doing fan remixes and one day making the Sonic Mania OST and collaborating with SEGA on all of these various projects.

Sonic R's soundtrack is just amazing. Every track is an absolute banger. "Diamonds in the Sky" is my personal favorite

There aren't too many songs in this soundtrack but they're more or less all bangers. Super Sonic Racing and Work it Out are the standouts IMO.

The whole Sonic R soundtrack brings good vibes, tho I'd say Super Sonic Racing is the most popular of them all.
I'd recommend that and the Sonic Generations version (alternatively called "Mission")

I recently met TJ in the flesh at a con here in the UK.
She's still every bit as amazing in the flesh too, she's worked with some pretty big UK artists in the past.... Honestly I'd heard her name before I knew about her working on the Sonic R soundtrack, then it kinda clicked.

So basically, the Special Remix was done by the main composer, Tee Lopes, of the last two "Classic" 2D style Sonic games, Sonic Mania from 2017 and Sonic Superstars from this month. The main girl singer is his sister, Mariana, and the guitarist is Jun Senoue, the other half of Crush 40 which you've heard a bunch by now.
You should definitely check out more of Tee's work even though they aren't usually lyrical cause they are all bops.
Some suggestions:
- Sonic Mania is a game that has both brand-new levels and returning classic ones that were remixed. Lights, Camera, Action! from Studiopolis Zone Act 1 is a great showcase of his original work for a brand-new level while Metallic Madness Act 2 is an awesome (and frankly superior) remix of the Metallic Madness Bad Future track from Sonic CD JP soundtrack (there was 2 different soundtracks for that game, long story).
- From the newest game, Sonic Superstars, Speed Jungle Zone Act 1 is awesome.
- Not Sonic, but if you want to hear his completely original work, The Machine, from his album Youniverse has some of his singing.
