This game is just straight up crazy for a returning player. I returned about a month ago and got one char to 1600 with the help of the events, the other 5 hanging around at ~1500. According to the calculator i would need 449,438g to push that one char closest to T4 starting content to 1620. And I dont calculate in the mats or anything else, which btw i can only generate from that one char. The message that I get from this is: dont play the game and wait till T4 drops so you can get your alts to 1580 so they can generate the mats you need for your main. Ok, see you in another half year. Great Game design btw.
Most games have a soft reset, and T4 kind of is that way. However, to even get to the soft reset point in this game requires months of work which they then add more content and puts you more behind. Only the express passes really help alleviate the problem, and you'll still be gatekept if you're a new player without cards/roster level.
@@myst2212 its a long term game depending on your wallet. And i think its kinda paradox: on one hand player numbers are dwindling and on the other hand they present a paywall or that slow of a progression that you always feel left behind without an option to ever catch up. I think my plan is still to advance hone to 1630 so I can try to prog thaemine hard and unlock my full transcendence. I won’t do the full 20 levels tho. I just want to play hard thaemine
Don't do it, I did and regret, even with advanced honing, no one will accept you into hard mode cuz u dont have trans. I've spent many hours trying make prog lobbies
We definitely need to see the rates for advanced honing in T4 first. If they are comparable to the conversion rate that we are going to get for leapstones, etc. then I'd say advanced honing is not a bad idea, at least the first 10 ilvls. Otherwise just wait for T4 and hone normally at a high base rate.

@@billyang4698why do you feel that way when the game has like 20 rng power progression systems that your min maxing at the same time? Does getting the item level to do content really need to be as painful as they make it with all the other grindy power systems they add into the game?
@@dreadedronin24well with Echidna out, we have a taste of how strong Korea players are because I have seen so many beserk timers in my last two weeks on this raid. Unreal.
i have 5 alts at 1620 and my main at 1633. im not gonna advance hone at all on my alts (maybe 1) cuz when t4 drops, the newest raid behemoth is only gonna be 1640 anyways, so theres no need to hone until next content drops
According to the calculator, advanced honing, especially 0-10 is actually very cheap compared to normal honing. In fact, advanced honing 0-10 is less than 1610-1620. The reality is the higher you go the easier both lobby sim and raid is going to be.
How does it compare to 1580-1590?(10 ilvls with 10% base chance like 1640-1650 will be). 70k raw gold and about 18k gold in orehas(88k total) vs 329k raw gold and 281k gold of orehas for advanced honing(this chart didn't use solars so I expect we can drop a third off this cost), adjusted to 407k gold total. Even if you got all the mats for free, advanced honing will never be cheap since it has so much gold cost baked in.
@@ffhighwind That seems a bit higher than what my chart showed unless that 100k included the orehas. Did you solar the special rounds and solar each weapon tap?
@@kyle784 That was gloves on 2 dps. I think I got lucky more than unlucky. No I didn't juice armor pieces. I am not certain of the numbers but it's a ballpark.
@@kyle784 Just tested on a third char and it was 46k gold, 850 fusions, 1050 leaps. However, I used juice materials on full meter because apparently our current juice materials dont work in T4.
I’ll probably advance hone +10 weapon across the board since it’s mainly bounds and just paying oreha + gold cost. I mean every bit of damage is helpful!
You need to do Behemoth (1640 ilvl) for advanced honing the weapon. We can only do armor now. I pushed a couple characters up to +10 on one armor piece and gained like 1.75 ilvl. It costs around 100k gold and 600 fusions to do this per char. It's pretty nuts and not feasible to hit 1630 before T4. I'm not sure it's worth doing even with bound mats.
@@yzzilg4698 Was also wrong on other info. It costed around 46k gold, 850 fusions, 1050 leaps to AH armor. I've also hit 1630 on 4 chars and am half way there on 2 more atm. So was wrong on that too. What I really meant was its not really feasible to hit 1640 before T4.
Akkan hm required full brel +22 gear to do on launch, Brel nm required +22 valtan/vykas gear to full clear week 1. Akkan into thaemine progression is sadly just normal.
Advanced honing is incredibly expensive and most of that is baked into raw gold and orehas meaning it can never be cheap until it gets nerfed. 407k-610k in pure gold and orehas for 1-10 on all pieces.
