Thanks for all the videos dedicated to H145, I've learnt a lot. I'm having troubles trying to control the heli. It looks like there is no difference between Trim release being pressed or not. I have realistic model in config, no assistance whatsoever in the sim and all required bindings. I see Trim release indication (when pressed) and AFCS indication as well. But without Trim release pressed I'm not feeling that I'm "fighting" the autopilot. The aircraft won't trying to "get back" to set attitude after cyclic release without Trim release pressed. Looks like I'm missing some option somewhere which is driving me crazy :) Any suggestion where to start?

Best thing to do is drop a video of the issue in the discord chat. It's almost solved immediately

Do you mind showing us your sensitivity settings for your joystick?

Great video my question is there a lot of UA-cam videos out there on the H145 And H160, I want to do a ILS approach flight planned and landing. Could you please do a video on that? or explain it to me? I know on a regular airplane you have to hit the approach button and it will automatically follow the glideslope and lower the altitude for you all the way to the runway. What about the helicopter the 145 and the 160. is that procedure the same? I tried to do a ILS approach with the H160 and thought it would automatically pick up the glides slope and drop the altitude to the runway or Heli pad. But that wasn’t the case. Can you try to explain the steps for landing the helicopter on the approach? Is that even possible?

Give me some time to run it and then I'll post. There are some quirks with it and I want to make sure I'm giving you good info

This is very usefull, thank you Shipmeck! I have many questions still: can you for instance while taking off make a turn whilst still below Vtoss? And if so, would you use the torque pedals for that turn and the cyclic or a regular coordinated turn? Or is turning below Vtoss not advisible? By the way, Vtoss equals Vx? Is that correct?

The C2 manual stated to "avoid steep right turns below 45 kias close to the ground to maintain sufficient lateral control margin for recovery". This flight characteristic warning is not present in the D2 manual which is curious since they have the same main rotor system. So it would seem that turns are allowable below VTOSS so pedals should be used to maintain aircraft in trim.
VTOSS = Vx for this aircraft. I'm not sure if that's always the case or if it is just something airbus has chosen to define.

Thanks for that quick reply. And in case of a Cat A takeoff (which I also have seen described as a PC1 takeoff, perhaps that is a European thing....?) imagine lift off into the wind but your destination lies behind you. Would it be appropriate to stop gaining altitude and rotate towards your destination or continue gaining altitude while you rotate?

Forward into the wind until you reach Vtoss then turn on course. The idea is to get it above single engine speed so that if you loose an engine you can fly away. If you turn away from the wind you are creating a dangerous situation where if you loose an engine you have a tail wind and have to accelerate to match the wind and then on to single engine speed to fly away
