I grew up in Seattle, was a big Seattle Storm fan during my teenage years. We had a lot of UConn players, so naturally I became a Huskies fan. The past few years I have fallen in love with the state of Tennessee. During my last visit I learned so much about Pat’s legacy. What an absolute amazing legend! So Team Vols!!!
Neutral Stanford fan here. The Tennessee and UConn rivalry is amusing for those of us on the outside looking in... and I really miss them not playing every year. Let's be honest here, Tennessee used to rule women's basketball and now UConn does, and has for awhile. The good news is that it may take a few years, but someday this WILL change. Geno will be gone and UConn will fall from the ranks. The likes of Duke, Notre Dame, Baylor, South and North Carolina and even a few Pac 12 teams are nipping at the heels. Both Geno and Pat are tremendous coaches and recruiters and should be acknowledged and respected as such. Tara Vanderveer is also an amazing coach. We're all very fortunate to have cheered for teams that have brought us so much enjoyment and dedication!

Nah, Summitt just couldn’t handle all that losing. UConn had better teams with a better coach in a better bball state. Maya M recruit was just another loss for her, and was the last straw. If you tuned in to the interviews of players on the team, you would find them courteous, very quick to emphasize the team over themselves, and who represent UConn very well.
