      I picked one up about a month or so ago; wish I'd done it sooner, and I don't even weld in awkward positions!

      I have a hard time since I’m older to coordinate the foot pedal with my welding. I have to sit while I weld, so the foot pedal takes a front seat to what I’m welding, and sometimes it’s an inconvenience.

    Did you notice how the dimes in the second half of the lap joint of the mounting bracket were spaced 1/64th of an inch further apart than the first half…. I can’t believe he would show that to the world 🙈

    I prefer to place a 1/8" diameter dab of torque seal at the edge of the fastener as opposed to a bead across the entire head (as the instructions show). Much more pleasant to look at and still functions as intended

    Can you please share your knowledge about TIG tacking aluminum? 🙏
    A lot of times you tack weld it without any filler rod... which aluminum alloys are good (or not) for it and what setting do you use for tacking?

      If you pay attention he showed the trick he put a dab on the one side when he held it together he blended that dab in.

    Whenever I put my TIG torch over my legs, it usually burns though my pants, and I get a burn mark in my calf.
    But I guess with training I can manage my pain 😂

      -Turn torch away from leg
      -Don't weld too long unsleeved if you are using high amperage. Put sleeves on or use sunblock.

      It's used so you can tell if fasteners are staying tight by a quick visual inspection. It's used a lot in aviation on critical fasteners that can't be loose. It's all over the place on helicopters.

      TIG gives you variability on-the-fly unlike any other way of doing it.
