Hv been to both Sunset Seafood and Kedai Kopi Gaik Hoon.....prefer the later's cooking style althu Sunset has a better view. Not worth paying so high for mantis prawn.
I met an elderly fan recently.. probably in his 70s or 80s.. he says he wants to try the big mantis prawns after watching my video… It’s no longer a question of price and whether it’s worth it or not at that age… it’s a question of whether able to still enjoy it while still alive…
Uncle Ah Fatt and Ah Leng couldn’t join us for the extended time we were in Penang. We were in Penang for 2 weeks…. Ah Fatt and Ah Leng still need to work and take care of their business in KL.
It’s ok to share good stuff … demand supply will eventually determine market price…. Too expensive they will close shop, too cheap they will have so much business that they cannot cope with super thin margins. Market equilibrium will happen eventually 😀

Not sure if you can buy them online but they do have distributor in KL Chinatown in Jalan Tun HS Lee.. look for a kedai runcit there.
