Rafael i have watched the first 3 videos you have and its honestly been very informative. I always been stuck at my level and self taught. I never took time to learn chord and scales since everything i did came from tabs. Where do i start to do this right? Scales then chords? And which ones to start with?
Hey Rafael! Thanks a lot for the lesson. When it comes do HP, I've noticed that you seem to always do it when navigating 2-1-2 and 3-1-3 shapes and I wanted to ask you: why? I, for one, never really got around to studying those shapes in depth, but, wouldn't it be more natural/logical to sweep/economy them? I'd love to hear your input on this. I've been loving your videos and Patreon content. Thank you for the amazing help. Cheers!
Hey, thanks that’s great to hear! I use more HP especially on those shapes because that’s how I learned it from Martin Miller a very long time ago, when I was his student. And I like to combine legato with HP and since the second note is a hammer-on it makes sense to me to continue using a technique which gives me a softer sound. I only sweep pick 3-1-3 shapes when I want every note to be attacked
I have no idea (open hand position) and closed hand position? You did not give example? Although I understand your example on G scale (legato) then ‘hybrid pick’ the fourth note on the (A string)
