    I bet your machine had a bad drive coupling between the engine and pump assembly at some point in it's life, causing excessive thrust on that washer. I have an 1845 and just replaced my drive coupling 4 years ago $485. Now the little seal on the side of the pump for the control shaft is leaking pretty bad, hoping I can do it in the machine??? Great video's keep it up!

      @DurtyMaxDee  2 місяці тому

      @johohojo8548 You're probably right on the coupling.
      That seal on the side of the pump was easy to change in the machine once you get the snap ring out. I did all of them (both sides) on mine in the machine.
      Glad to help 😎

    Your videos are great. I have a 1845c also. I bought a stiff arm backhoe for it and when trying to dig with the bucket using the foot control, it just doesnt have any power to dig. If I raise the boom and use foot control the bucket extends and curls as it should, It is when lowering the boom to the ground and curling the bucket back. No power to dig. Does that sound like a pump problem or just too small of a pump for the attachment. Always look forward to your advise. Thanks
    Bob

      Thanks Bob 😊
      It's hard to say. How's the power with just the bucket on the machine? Does it seem to have the proper power to move/dig material?
      Have you used the auxiliary hydraulics for other attachments and noticed a lack of power? Is the foot pedal opening the valve completely? Does the hydraulic cylinder squeal when trying to dig? Might have bad/worn-out piston seals in the cylinder.
      Does the backhoe attachment work as it should on a different/similar HP machine? Good test for piston seals.
      Without actually being at the machine, it's hard for me to say why it's doesn't have the power to dig.
      Hope this helps. Let me know what you find, interested in knowing. 😉

      The hydraulics on the machine itself are great. Lifts and tilts as it should, just hardly any power to the new backhoe attachment. The pump in the back of the machine under the radiator. Does that pump run just the auxilirary hydraulics or does it also run the bucket functions.Also wondering if it could be the new cylinder itself on the attachment. Hate to buy a pump if it's something else.@@DurtyMaxDee

    • @DurtyMaxDee
      @DurtyMaxDee  Рік тому +1

      @bobstevens6011 On the 1845C, I believe the pump in the back supplies all the hydraulic functions. The ones under the seat are only for the hydrostatic drives.
      If running the machine with the loader bucket and power/strength of hydraulics seem right, I'd venture to say that it's not a pump issue but more of an attachment issue.
      Try a different attachment that requires aux hydraulic. See how it reacts. If you don't have one readily available, you could just rent one for the day. If it works as it should, your issue is in the attachment you bought.
      I know this way is problematic for troubleshooting, but it is the easiest way to diagnose at a distance.
      Alternatively, if you have a friend that has a similar machine, you could take the backhoe to them, and see if you get the same results 😉
      Sorry I can't be of more help to you. Lemme know what you find.

    • @DurtyMaxDee
      @DurtyMaxDee  Рік тому

      Without actually hearing it myself, it will be very hard for me or anyone else to diagnose it.
      It could be a drive motor.
      It could be a hub bearing.
      It could be in the center double sprocket bearing.
      It could be the hydraulic pump that drives either the left or right side of the machine.
      Or something else...
      Sorry I couldn't be more help.

      Unfortunately, all you'll find is used pumps as these pumps have been discontinued.

      Good luck and happy hunting 😊 👍 😀
