My dad would have loved this. Not that he was a gamer. But he did talk about getting a game console if he could find a syfy game that allowed you to explore other worlds... now that he’s passed away we have No Mans Sky and this game. Man he would have enjoyed this!

Microwave remote energy transmission or laser energy transmission via satellite is entirely a real technology the fact that this video twice refers to it as hand wavey sci-fi concepts is inaccurate. Its not the most efficient power transmission method but it is entirely within science fact. Launching a rocket by yourself however less so
I just downloaded this on gamepass, i was expecting it to be like space engineers. I was so surprised that it was a linear story. Currently I am loving this game so far.

Just finished it today, really solid game. My biggest complaints are a bit of repetition of "puzzles" that aren't really puzzles. Putting that and a number of plot holes aside, I really enjoyed this game. Definitely can recommend.
Amazing that, after existing as a species for millions of years (and biologically identical to how we are now for around 250,000 years) we go in just a few centuries from explorers crossing the sea to new, different land masses to explorers crossing SPACE to new, different heavenly bodies
I loved this game , is immersive, the level design is creative , the story telling is interesting , just a great time , it really made me feel something and that's hard to see in videogames now a days.

Amazing game! I didn’t know what I was getting into when I first started, but as soon as I saw it was powered by Unreal Engine I knew it’d be captivating. The story line was nail biting watching those holograms. I’d recommend this to everyone. 11/10
Yea its great. I got it via game pass. Its gameplay is very fun for how slow it is. It feels realistic. The visuals is what I enjoy best. I just wish the earth didnt look dead haha.

I have saw this on my ps plus games catalog. I wasn’t interested for months but I though to clock into the pics they showed and the graphics were impressive but we’ve all been fooled by devs before. Then I searched UA-cam for comments so many positive so sad as well. One of my favorite moments was starting the space shuttle. I once had a steel battalion with the command stick and all the flashy buttons pedals and the lights all lit up in sync it was beautiful and just pushing all the buttons on the shuttle gave me flash backs. Now, the game itself is fun beginning to end. The story is very intriguing in that ur human kind is devastated by global catastrophe and are at a last resort to save their planet. The journey u embark on only becomes more difficult and eery as you uncover issues among your mission. I don’t want to give anything away but this game was such a hidden gem. I love it! Like others I cried at the end play it through the story is so good but the gameplay is well done. I can’t wait for wats next with these devs this publisher. Very impressive game. I love story telling games but this was of course a mixture of both. Wow! Great story telling guys.
Great game I downloaded it yesterday just out of curiosity without any type expectations now I can't stop playing. All games are repetitive and no game is perfect the only thing that matters is if you're having fun with it. I give this game a 9 out of 10 just based on how much I'm enjoying it.
I hope one day they make a game set in deep space where a station is full with humans turned creatures and an engineer encounters them while trying to fix the ship. Oh wait.
it's not a game for everyone. as many people said it's rather a movie that you can play, so consider it an alternative to a visit to the cinema. It has some stunning visuals and nice story, I love it after playing a game where you shoot objects I was looking for something completely different, something to chill by, something emotional and immersive, I have made the right choice bying it. but again - I don't expect everyone to be satisfied with it

stephanie harrell so basically earth ran out of power and there was a blackout. Humanity colonizes the moon and drains it dry of helium 3. Then,the MPT breaks and the moon runs out of helium 3. You need to fix the MPT and get helium 3 back up and running. Oh, the MPT is how helium 3 travels back to earth
I stopped playing after about 30 min. I just could not handle the terrible zero G level. It was like an even more annoying water level and I saw no reason to continue.

Playing it now on Xbox one x. I changed the settings to 1080p with 60 frames. I'd rather have frames. It's a fun relaxing game so far. Nothing to crazy but a fun game to relax and play. I love space travel. Plus it's on gamepass. Not a bad game at all. Just a fun time
Graphics and ray tracing are so good in this one. I like the puzzles, very creative in some cases. A great game all around, especially if you snagged it on sale. I don't really agree that this game has its "moments of failure ..." I experienced zero fail.
*quick edit: BIG SPOILERS* Can someone help me understand the plot a bit? From what I understand, the folks on the moon were faced with a choice due to a parts malfunction at Tombough: risk their lives to repair the big energy laser and maybe even travel to Earth, or use what little time they had left to abandon everything and take a chance on finding a better planet. They chose number two. But what confuses me is at some point an audio log makes it sound like there isn't actually an issue at Tombough, and MacArthur is just staging the whole scenario as an excuse to kickstart a space colonization mission that damns Earth. Can someone clarify/expand on this? Also, BIG SPOILERS why did Sarah seal off the big tube thing just to prevent Isaac from having it? She was already doomed at this point, and she couldn't have predicted Rolf's arrival years later, so was this action purely to spite Isaac and preserve the tube just on the off-chance someone showed up later to use it for its rightful purpose of helping Earth?
The problem was that they realized that Helium 3 was limited on the moon and that it couldn't supply earth forever. They instead wanted to take as much Helium 3 with them and abandon earth as they considered it a lost cause and start a new life somwhere else in space. There was no issue at Tombourgh -it was all staged to get people to abandon the earth without making people revolt or feel guilty. Sarah assumed someone might come and redeploy the TMP, and that's why she locked it away.
I didn't think the ASE had any personality. It just drifted, mostly silently, for the duration of my venture to the point that I at times almost forgot it existed at all.
Just finished and it was a good experience over all, but MY GOD PLAYING ON THE BASE XBOX ONE WAS BRUTAL!! Fps all over the place and some crazy visual glitches...Next gen can't come soon enough lol...

Until recently I have not found a 'shooter' that I like on Stadia (and I used to love playing them on my PS3) - but have been playing 'Outrider - New Horizon' on Stadia and absolutely love it! So many free games to play, and little time to do it!
Great game, graphics, puzzles, storyline, but would it be too much to ask to allow toggling between first person viewing angle and the viewing angle that predominates the game? Trying to follow behind the character as he races around a dangerous round tower with the clock ticking just became incredibly annoying as there is too much lag between the character's movements and the ability of the viewing angle to catch up. Also, in this one challenge, I took too much time initially, thinking that I could always return to the start spot once I ran out of time, but, no! the developers restarted me with a minute less, rendering completion of the game impossible for me. I was stuck with the option of beginning all over, hoping I might somehow perform some great miracle, or quitting. Call me a loser here.
This is the best indie game I have ever played and really got me into the story. Really fun and rewarding to play. Anyone with game pass know any more games like this?
After walking normally within moon base and pushing airlock button and going for walk outside when character suddenly loses about 80% of gravity and you can turn running in pretty much midair. No,no this game really didn't make feel like an astronaut :D
the atmosphere, story and music tbh.... if you like puzzle games, this is a bad one. if you like action games, this is a bad one, if you like platformers, this is a bad one. but if you want a game with a good story and a shedload of atmosphere, this is exactly the game you want.
I just finished playing this the other day, I have the whole play through being uploaded to my channel and I honestly enjoyed this game. Though it could have had a little bit more to it but it was fun. I have a new episode uploading everyday this week

I came to find out if the game was worth playing but after 3 minutes stopped watching cause you are telling me the game story. Step by step. I´ll be back once i played the game.You convinced me that is worthy (i hope) during the first minute talking about your real experiences watching the launches . In this kind of story games to have someone spoil the storyline , even if is just the beginning it takes too much from the experience of playing it. As i said i´ll be back later.

This review sums it up although I’m a little less enthusiastic… the visuals are grate , story lines solid but you’ve really done everything the game has to offer within the first hour . A bit disappointed you only get to step out on the moon for a very brief stage in the game . Shame because I really thought the game was going to pick up towards the end but it just sorta flat lines . 5.5/10
Spoiler alert: You have been warned My least favorite part was the sneaking part near the crowd control A.S.E.s although my favorite part was when the ring bursted and you wave to get back to the airlock. And my most emotionally hinged part was either the end with you finding Sarah or when you find the hologram in the monorail station and you see Issac stab sarah
The ending gave zero closure. Like annoyed me so much it changed my whole perspective on my play through from "man this is kinda tedious, but saving the world with science should be a challenge!" To "why the hell did I even do that?" Finish the game to see what I mean, or save some time, and don't.
Shame that they didn't nail the science. Would love this game with proper science, but being somewhat knowledgable in astrophysics (and most other physics for that matter), I know that it would immediately break immersion for me. Shame, it really is not that hard to rely on proper science in science fiction (even though many crap authors/directors make it seem like that)
The epitome of an "on rails" experience, this game was so fucking bad, it was a great concept, but you can tell the developers did almost no research and copy pasted their way through most of it. The slow movement speed is meant to feel realistic but it's just incredibly annoying when you play it. The story is extremely predictable, as soon as the mentioned the bad guy's name it was obvious what his role would be, and what happened. I encountered a game breaking glitch at the bottom of the space elevator and was forced to uninstall, though now I see it was for the best.
Nice detailed review, but how is a setting where everything clearly went to hell and the narrative being delivered through holograms innovative? Dozens of games have done that before.
I love the game,but the Graphics sometimes just look really bad. I find that it mostly struggles when you launch the rocket at the beginning and basically anytime you look at the planets
Just finished this on Xbox game pass, fantastic game. Puzzles were a bit easy, but story, atmosphere, environmental design were all top notch. I'd be pretty disappointed if I paid $30 for this, but I also understand the huge amount of work that goes into these games.
I played the whole game on Xbox one S today. It’s definitely not great performance but I still got a good experience out of it. This review points out having to do the same thing over and over...but the whole game is like 6 hours...so I would say who cares if a few of the puzzles feel similar. Most of it is varied well. It’s still a fun adventure. Play it....I will say, the final portion of the game had moments that ran like absolute doo doo, but i was able to get through it

Great review, I only bought it because it was about space and has ray tracing on PC. Now that I know more about it I'm looking forward to playing it.

Just finished and it was a good experience over all, but MY GOD PLAYING ON THE BASE XBOX ONE WAS BRUTAL!! Fps all over the place and some crazy visual glitches...Next gen can't come soon enough lol...

@@Blades729 I'm on Stadia pro so grabbed it the other day, but have not had chance to play it yet. Until recently I have not found a 'shooter' that I like on Stadia (and I used to love playing them on my PS3) - but have been playing 'Outrider - New Horizon' on Stadia and absolutely love it! So many free games to play, and little time to do it!
I left my Camaro in the garage for 8 years and it started instantly.
Thankfully I looked this up I don't like story games so would be a waste of time waiting for it to download

So far I’m enjoying this game on the Xbox one but the only issue are some really bad frame rate drops
Great game, graphics, puzzles, storyline, but would it be too much to ask to allow toggling between first person viewing angle and the viewing angle that predominates the game? Trying to follow behind the character as he races around a dangerous round tower with the clock ticking just became incredibly annoying as there is too much lag between the character's movements and the ability of the viewing angle to catch up. Also, in this one challenge, I took too much time initially, thinking that I could always return to the start spot once I ran out of time, but, no! the developers restarted me with a minute less, rendering completion of the game impossible for me. I was stuck with the option of beginning all over, hoping I might somehow perform some great miracle, or quitting. Call me a loser here.
This is the best indie game I have ever played and really got me into the story. Really fun and rewarding to play. Anyone with game pass know any more games like this?

makes you FEEL like an astronaut
After walking normally within moon base and pushing airlock button and going for walk outside when character suddenly loses about 80% of gravity and you can turn running in pretty much midair. No,no this game really didn't make feel like an astronaut :D

I just finished playing this the other day, I have the whole play through being uploaded to my channel and I honestly enjoyed this game. Though it could have had a little bit more to it but it was fun. I have a new episode uploading everyday this week

I came to find out if the game was worth playing but after 3 minutes stopped watching cause you are telling me the game story. Step by step. I´ll be back once i played the game.You convinced me that is worthy (i hope) during the first minute talking about your real experiences watching the launches . In this kind of story games to have someone spoil the storyline , even if is just the beginning it takes too much from the experience of playing it. As i said i´ll be back later.

This review sums it up although I’m a little less enthusiastic… the visuals are grate , story lines solid but you’ve really done everything the game has to offer within the first hour . A bit disappointed you only get to step out on the moon for a very brief stage in the game . Shame because I really thought the game was going to pick up towards the end but it just sorta flat lines . 5.5/10

My least favorite part was the sneaking part near the crowd control A.S.E.s although my favorite part was when the ring bursted and you wave to get back to the airlock. And my most emotionally hinged part was either the end with you finding Sarah or when you find the hologram in the monorail station and you see Issac stab sarah

The ending gave zero closure. Like annoyed me so much it changed my whole perspective on my play through from "man this is kinda tedious, but saving the world with science should be a challenge!" To "why the hell did I even do that?" Finish the game to see what I mean, or save some time, and don't.

that's where a potential sequel comes in... probably. Although tbh, once they left, there wouldnt be any way of finding out what happened.
Shame that they didn't nail the science. Would love this game with proper science, but being somewhat knowledgable in astrophysics (and most other physics for that matter), I know that it would immediately break immersion for me. Shame, it really is not that hard to rely on proper science in science fiction (even though many crap authors/directors make it seem like that)

The epitome of an "on rails" experience, this game was so fucking bad, it was a great concept, but you can tell the developers did almost no research and copy pasted their way through most of it. The slow movement speed is meant to feel realistic but it's just incredibly annoying when you play it. The story is extremely predictable, as soon as the mentioned the bad guy's name it was obvious what his role would be, and what happened. I encountered a game breaking glitch at the bottom of the space elevator and was forced to uninstall, though now I see it was for the best.
Never play games like this so not sure if I’ll like it but I’ll give it a go

A good game is a good game. Graphic fidelity shouldn't change that. Kinda how AAA titles tend to look the best but are empty trash.

Just finished this on Xbox game pass, fantastic game. Puzzles were a bit easy, but story, atmosphere, environmental design were all top notch. I'd be pretty disappointed if I paid $30 for this, but I also understand the huge amount of work that goes into these games.

I played the whole game on Xbox one S today. It’s definitely not great performance but I still got a good experience out of it. This review points out having to do the same thing over and over...but the whole game is like 6 hours...so I would say who cares if a few of the puzzles feel similar. Most of it is varied well. It’s still a fun adventure. Play it....I will say, the final portion of the game had moments that ran like absolute doo doo, but i was able to get through it
I am on One X....so many frame rate drops lol, worth it tho.
