That's true that it's in the budget for this video but they clearly talk about using these apps for themselves with some frequency. Of course I don't hold it against them but it's funny for sure
Once, I ordered from ubereats. I ordered an iced coffee, when the lady got here, she told me that she spilled my drink. She said she was gonna go back to get another one, SHE NEVER CAME BACK.
One time I ordered from Doordash and they kept my drink in a bag and they managed to spill it in the bag. You could also tell she smoked in the car from the smell on the bags...not much of a problem but the experience was a little disappointing.

Hey I work part time for Postmates in Los Angeles.
You will actually get your food much faster if the restaurant is a Postmates partner because the order was received from their computer & will be ready by the time driver arrives. Some places are not partnered with Postmates so the driver has to order the food & pay with Postmates card which is going to slow things down for both the driver & customer. Also, if the driver is at a restaurant he/she has the possibility of getting another order added to their route (from same restaurant) without being able to decline & the driver cannot choose which place to deliver 1st. Things get tricky sometimes & not many people know the struggles Postmates drivers may go through. It’s important to tip whatever you can because the struggle is real & the pay is not very much unless you drive far distance because they pay extra the further you drive.

With Door Dash you can see who youre delivering to and can decide if you want to take that order or unassign it after seeing where youre taking the food too. I always base my Door Dash deliveries on pay & distance of where the customer is. Postmates sucks on the information given with customers and when a customer cancels an order the driver doesnt get paid. With Door Dash, the driver would at least get half pay when a customer cancels.

Yo every delivery app is expensive af. I have Uber eats, doordash and grub hub at my work and every delivery service has our food on there for like 2 dollars more plus you have to tip the driver and there is tax l. I would never use any of them.
Because you’re supposed to get your lazy behind in your car and go get it and only spend $10 . But no all the new generations have to do stuff the super easy way. 😑

Postmates always change my service fee so my order goes up an additional $3-$12. Which is why I stop using Postmates. Doordash is expensive for the stuff I eat so I dont use it. I use Uber Eats now lol
Having tried delivering for GrubHub, DoorDash, Postmates and UberEATS, I always seemed to deliver DoorDash orders the fastest.

True story. I had five guys burgers fries deliver through Uber eats one time. Same as Joyce I got the lettuce wrap burger by mistake. I simply reported the issue through Uber eats and I got full credit for the burger.

So I’m in Canada therefore we have no Postmates and the experience I have with door dash is: I placed my order for Thai Express, went to go pick it up, they never received the order and told me I was at the wrong Thai Express, drove around for like 2 km and couldn’t find another nearby Thai Express (even though I looked at the map and the address DoorDash gave me) and proceeded to call and ask where it was from the number they provided me, only for it to be a random fellow citizen man who was getting called on his personal mobile phone- So... I’ll never trust DoorDash ever again.

How your food is packaged isn't the fault of the delivery service - it's the fault of the restaurant. It's not about whether or not uber/door dash/post mates/etc cares about you.
Esther Kim also usually the same people drive for multiple platforms so you get a lot of crossover. 🙄these comps are ridiculous especially when you watch it from a drivers perspective.
Most people don't realize the same drivers work for all the delivery apps. Also, the drivers are not employees of the apps they are independent contractors if they do a good job it is independent of the company. The drivers have nothing to do with how quickly the food is made or when they are sent the delivery. Their only job is to pick up the bag of food and drive it to you. If the driver is good, tip them properly in cash in person, not through the app. Especially with Doordash who steals the customer's tips and uses it to cover their own business costs. Or you know, just go out and get your own food.
