    Sahaja Yoga is a meditation technique developed by Shri Mataji Nirmala Devi that involves the awakening of a subtle spiritual energy known as the Kundalini which lies dormant in the sacrum bone at the base of the spine in three and a half coils. The word 'sacrum' is derived from the word 'sacred', which suggests that this is not new knowledge. Sahaja means 'born with you' or 'spontaneous' and Yoga means 'union with the divine'. The gentle awakening of this Kundalini energy and the inner journey of Self-discovery is known as Self-Realisation or Yoga.
    Those who have received Realisation are known as 'realised souls' or 'dweejaha' in Sanskrit, meaning 'the twice born'. The awakened Kundalini rises up the spinal column until it reaches the limbic region of the brain from where it flows gently through the top of the head at the fontanelle bone. Even more remarkably, once awakened, the Kundalini can be felt coming out of the fontanelle bone as a cool breeze or cool vibrations (chaitanya). These cool vibrations can also be felt on the fingertips and on the palms of the hands. (Know Thyself - True self - the Pure Spirit.)

    Finally! A video where the Great Mother's voice is clear and understandable! My favorite part 10:20 - _"Don't feel guilty. It's harmful, self-destructive. Never feel guilty about anything!"_ Wonderful! And I'll tell ya, as one brought up in the Catholic Religion, her message is life-transforming! As Alan Watts the great Philosopher once said, _"The Church has institutionalized Guilt as a Virtue."_ (UA-cam: Jesus, His Religion). It's just wonderful to finally be liberated from the prison of guilt and shame through which the Church terrorizes the Human Soul! Namaste! Shanti, Shanti, Shanti!

      There were many videos made by my husbands company for Mother (between 1980 - 1989) and many were lost or damaged when they were taken away to Italy, they were all made to a high professional standard on Umatic tapes using broadcast grade cameras, nick clarke (addictive television) and Mark Tickell (now Fox News editor) made many of them in Brighton. At least some were preserved and to this important standard.

      I full agree with You John, having had the same experience Myself.
      Sahaja Yoga continues to be an enormous blessing in My life.
      Sri Mataji once said "guilt is a myth" and while She may not have been being literal (as I'm quoting out of context), I see no evidence to the contrary at all now.
      In fact what use is holding onto any of the lower states of consciousness like fear, shame, anger, pride judgement to Anyone; don't they just lead to more and more negativity and more and more descent into ruin?
      Ascent begins with forgiveness, courage, neutrality, willingness, acceptance, reason, love, joy, peace and Self-realisation; which is the actually the first step in Sahaja Yoga, and I've seen many People completely transformed for the better, in no time, because of It.

    I practiced this for one day yesterday and didn’t feel the cool breeze at all. The 2nd day I didn’t feel the cool breeze when I had my left hand over my head but I felt it when I put my right hand on my head. I’m excited to see what unfolds over the next month.

      Yes, some time because of some physical or mental condition you do not feel cool breeze. But you should have felt a mental silence. If you do not feel mental silence that means it did not-happened nothing to worry keep praying and you will get it.

    Namaste. Practice giving yourself a Bandhan by following Shri Mataji showing you how. (See Bandhan video link in Video - about section) Afterward try keeping your eyes open for some time watching Shri Mataji also with your hands gently open toward Her. (This practice can be very helpful also to enter the thoughtless awareness meditation state). Best wishes.

    Namaste. It can happen that ours hands (or hand) may take sometime to be sensitive to vibrations. A good suggestion would be to participate in our Sahaja Yoga Meditation Course online or even better attend a free local Sahaja Yoga Class if possible. (See the links at the bottom of Video - about section). Sahaja Yoga Meditation is wonderful. When we started Sahaja Yoga we felt vibrations only in one hand, then a few weeks later the second hand.     SelfRealization KundaliniAwakening, during the moment we were asked to raise our left hand onto the top of our head and feel the vibrations of the cool breeze, I had a thought that made me angry, and what I felt on my hand was warmth. As if it was on fire, almost. I believe this came from my anger that I felt at that instance. Have you ever experienced this before, or heard of it?

    Yeah, what I really do is
    Sit cross leg wise and keep my both hands up ward to sky on my lap and then close my eye and feel nothingness.
    I felt something in my left hand then something in right.
    But have not felt on both as they said, also not feeling anything when keeping hand on top of head.
    but I felt so lazy and tried after the 1st day of feeling this in little way. Is that all ok?
    im I doing right?

      any type of heating, vibration and feeling of difficults all are negative energy, you need to find a way to remove them. real energy always brings cool & peace environment within body and around you .

      Dear Sishir, Welcome to Sahaja Yoga Meditation. Usually we experience our Self-Realization in few ways.
      Take time to see if you feel ...
      A cool breeze in the palm of your hands?
      Sensations or vibrations in your body, hands or feet?
      Heat or tingling?
      A cool breeze from the top of your head?
      Are you simply relaxed and peaceful?
      Are you aware (alert) but thoughtless?
      These are some of the experiences people have when they receive their Self-Realization.
      Experiment with the following... Try to look at Shri Mataji's photograph (or video) without thinking. You can do it.
      Next check to see if there is a cool or hot breeze coming from the top of your head. Try for a few moments with your right hand. Then with your left hand and then back again with your right. (Sometimes it takes a little time to feel because our Kundalini is working out things on our subtle systems)
      If you feel heat "just say again in your heart, I forgive everyone in general" and don't think of those people you need to forgive. Just forget about them. If you feel quiet inside, close your eyes and put your attention on the top of your head (slightly towards the front) and enjoy yourself.

      This is not about science, this is about opening the doors of perception, which is intensely personal and indefinable by its very nature. But, to go with your point, the spirit realm is often poorly defined by the common masses, to whom there is little or no understanding of it. Kind of like...how do you tell a teenager that they don't know everything? As a parent or teacher, the very best you can do is just love them as they experience life and also choose to change and mature. So our leaders, enlightened fellow humans, and god(s) treat us. It cannot be shown, only releaved. Sometimes I see all of us as children. Adults, kids, parents. We think our problems are the end of the world like teenagers.
