A brotherly advice to everyone, almost every single one of these companies are involved in (Riba) interest income and interest expense (debt) at various amounts. I remind you to go and see what Allah SWT says about Riba in the Quran.
I’m only sharing this because Alhamdulilah, Allah SWT saved me and I found out early on.
There are those that unfortunately accepted to compromise and came up with “acceptable percentage limits” and they call it the “halalness scale!” It’s either Haram or Halal, there is no in between!

Assalaamu alaikum, since interest is a major sin, whether it is 100% or 33 % or 1 % of debt how it becomes Halal stock? Ideally we should not invest in stock where company has a loan of 1% also.

I am guessing here but maybe something to do with it being out of your hands and that you are taking steps to reduce your exposure to that. For instance, we are all involved in riba simply by earning and spending in our country’s currency.

Yes, they made these rules so that they have stocks to invest in. But investing in the stock market is not a necessity so can not indulge in usury or Riba just so we can invest in the stock market.

You think with the music in background can you trust such a one? Isn't music haram? Stock market profits are all based on profiteering from crisis & masses' miseries. Rizk will come to you from Allah, you just make an effort with that in labour, savings, spending wisely & zakat & sadaqa those are the best stocks to invest & most reliable to return you with dividends.

Why isn't any company that holds/gives debt at an interest rate is Haram?
Market Cap to debt ratio would be a poor metric for measuring if something is Halal. Many companies market caps are over valued so there debt may seem small in comparison. I'd encourage anyone to be cautious of using this metric because it may lead you to invest in over priced companies with a poor debt to asset ratio's. In my view the debt to assets ratio would be a better metric as it gives at least some indication to the health of the company.

I think it's nearly impossible to find Sharia-compliant shares nowadays. One should apply the following criteria before investing in any company:
1. The company's main activity should be permissible.
2. The company should not own any other companies that have forbidden activities (Alcohol, gambling, riba...), e.g: A famous non-alcoholic beverages company owns many alcohol brands.
3. The company doesn't promote any anti-Islamic values or causes, e.g: "Gender identity", or anti-family agenda.
4. The company doesn't support any organisations that are working against or promoting hate against Muslims (or any other community). The investor must audit the philanthropy activities of the company he wants to invest in.
5. If the company has a record of any form of injustice (Scams, embezzlement, fraud, criminal activities, working conditions...) towards employees, customers, suppliers, investors...
6. The company doesn't have any debt with riba. (Which eliminates nearly all companies).

Majority of scholars are against aaioffi standards for halal stocks which I think you mentioned in the video .. is there a way to find a 100% halal stocks?
Just find zero debt stocks but I think they would be extremely rare.
@I'm called Talha I used islamicly app trying to find a 100% compliant stocks in the Canadian or the USA market but I couldn't. Some tomes when the company has zero debt they are lending money instead in for of bonds or gic investment.
@@sherif4751 it's quite hard to find shariah compliant companies in the west. It's sad but that's the reality of modern finance. You can still find Shariah compliant companies in Muslim countries though. In the West, you might just have to find another way of investment.

Where are these "debt to assets" ratios in the Quran? As far as I know any profit you make from usury (Riba) is not permitted, and virtually all of the publicly traded companies listed have some sort of debt involving usury. God knows best, but everyone should take heed and use reason when engaging in usury.

I think if investing has any interest/riba added to it then its gonna be HARAM, when you buy a property on mortgage you are paying riba to the bank, when your investment is held somewhere i.e bank it accures interest, so this type of investing looks haram to me please advise.., Allah pak allowed trading where you buy the physical good to sell for a profit

T-bills do not carry an interest component; in fact, this is one of the biggest difference between T-bills and Bonds. T-bills are issued at a discount to their true (PAR) value, and upon expiry, it’s redeemed at its true value. They are 91 days, 182 days, and 364 days. Upon the maturity, the Government debits the T-bill from the DEMAT automatically, this is called ‘Extinguishment of Securities’ and the par value gets paid to the bank account linked to your DEMAT account. The only difference with the bond is that this is a guaranteed transaction, meaning, there is no risk of you selling below 100 (or above 100). For Example : consider a 91-day T-bill. Assume the true value (also called the Par value), is Rs.100. This T-bill is issued to you at a discount to its par value, Say Rs.97. After 91 days, you will get back Rs.100, and therefore you make a return of Rs.3. Think of it; this is as good as buying a stock at Rs.97 and selling it after 91 days at Rs.100.
