There’s some pretty good Chinese brands that are about half the price of a boosted. It’s unlikely Lime will restart boosted, most likely they bought the IP for the REV design

I was part of a focus group for Boosted board when they were doing market research for their Rev. In the group we were shown images of what looked like a Honda Ruckus, but electric that would have been at a price point of around $2200. I was EXTREMELY excited for this product, but it never came out.

Digging the quarantine look Sam! Appreciate the inside look at these Boosted boards. Having watched you and Casey with these boards always made me want one. Hope Lime isn’t just acquiring them for the tech. Sounds like from your research that we could see these boards again.
I'm amazed no one bought up Boosted a whole to continue with that brand. Their brand was SO strong, they just needed someone to intervene to make the rest of the company work financially.
Well before it shut down boosted took my money: I ordered a board just before and never received it. My money is gone and I will never see my board.... I don’t know what I could do... I am desperate

Oh man this is bad, maybe you can check if your credit card can cover, I was very luck, I got a stealth, they replaced one battery and 3 motors one came by mistake. Boosted board is very well made in quality, is perfect!!! I got a dilema, buy new parts or wait for a new boosted board or limeboard.
Hope you can have your money back.

I mean in the world where you have companies like EXway, the boosted was way too expensive for anyone to buy over the other electric longboards that are getting as good or sometimes even better than boosted... I feel bad for them, but for the price it didn’t offer enough...

Yep Lime just laid off 100 people recently and I think their CFO also stepped down. All the electric transport companies are getting fucked hard.

By looking at those welds and there being no obvious clip in/out points for the batter, AND the fact that this is Boosted, who made a 10mile scooter (which I own) that has no replaceable battery. Why in the world would they make their bike battery replaceable?!? I'm definitely looking to upgrade my wife's Boosted Rev sometime soon. Will probably upgrade my GTR Bamboo to a LaCroix. And get her something that can at LEAST do 20 miles real world full speed easily. We absolutely love our current setup. It's loads of fun! But it would be nice to have some more range. And I personally would REALLY like more power and less overheating.

OK one question I know some of your skaters might get a little bit T off butWhy not just have a version of this electric skateboard where you attach the handle bar shaft in the front so you can convert it to a kick scooter and just attach the electronics to that that way you have both options a skateboard and kick scooter for those who want to kick scooter and those who are more adventurous and want more of a work out and want to skate board?

Seems like Lime are going to start making their own scooters and bikes (integrating the tech from Boosted) - like Bird have done. Use those for rental and perhaps sell them as Lime products too.
I have been running a custom board build service. If you want, you could pick every spec of your board and I can build and ship it to you. I can make you a 4wd board with tons of torque and even give you the ability to switch to AT wheels.
No way they’re going out of business... gotta check your other video.. 😥

You could probably make the 4 motor boosted by putting the two extra motors backwards so that they fit under the board and you could put them in reverse

Had a friend tell me that the V3 board with lights was stuck in prototype form because they weren't durable. The lights kept breaking.

If you want easy 4wd you should check out the Revel kit. Looks super legit.

I feel like a lot of people are bias towards boosted since Casey Neistat has one. (don’t get me wrong boosted is a good company) but there are better and cheaper electric skateboard company’s out there like; Wowgo, Riptide, Exway, Meepo, et.

the community around boosted has made it easy to get your board repaired and many will part out their old boards and sell them for parts, id say go for it

and sam gotta use ur head man, meepo makes a 4 wheel drive system and it runs off a single remote! belt drive same thing, u just have to splice in and solder some wires, and u would need two ESCs linked together with one remote.... cheap out the diyesk8 website, they have all the info u could ever desire, and also all the parts you would ever need, and ALSO a pretty current DIY build video going thru the complete process and DIYing a 4 wheel drive board all by your lonesome!!

Microelectric mobility was the biggest hype of the decade and companies are beginning to pay the price.
That just looks like an early lineup concept. You can see they all use design elements from the v2, and then there is a straight up v2 in there. The mini probably became what the little concept was. That scooter is also probably what became the rev as it's clearly just a 'scooter' placeholder and nothing specific. The ultimate is the stealth, wether they ever actually tested boards with 4 motors or not who knows, but those are obviously just early concepts and not anything that was ever made. The tony hawk board is just a mini with a different deck on it.

Y'all know someone's going to recreate and sell these Esk8 designs, it's been known to happen to other Boosted Boards in the past.
Boosted board quality was never recreated, that's what worries me
Why don’t we all bring our lunch money together and revive the company that has brought us all so much joy when commuting around our various towns around the world.
I guess that before we can get any boards or products from whatever company (lime) it'll take a year or rebuilding all features and systems .. In the meantime my boosted board is dead (motors wires) and I will never be able to fix it and ride it anymore, it was a part of me like an extension and I can't imagine searching for an other products (evolve for example ...) to replace it ... But as far as the next company would do the job, I need to replace my board ....
Someone PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE buy boosted so we can be these sick skateboards, scooters and bikes

I love boosted, I hope they come back one day, these are great designs, but they can't be realized, if I come to realize them and make them into real products, will you support that?
The Ultimate looks insanely dangerous. 4 wheel drive on a skateboard would have been nuts. They would have had to put in a non-linear acceleration curve. If it was linear then you'd go flying the second you pin the throttle fully open.

I just bought a wowgo3 at half the price of a boosted. All the specs are on par with boosted.
im still so sad about it my battery died right before and now cant get a new battery so im stuck with a non-working board
4 motors? Not needed... Can't imagine how much shorter the battery would last....i think some of these are why they didn't last...
Let's hope Lime takes the tech from Boosted Boards and the tech from their scooters, to make an electric state board of their own
Why were you and Casey so loyal to these guys, just because USA made? Evolve had just as great of a service record, had a local CA office, and ultimately made a much better product at a very similar price! The Bamboo GTR and the Stealth were like 200 bucks different but the GTR crushed the Stealth in every single department. To me, the biggest + of the GTR is the wheel versatility. Once you ride All Terrain, Pneumatic wheels. It is very difficult to go back to Street, polyurethane wheels. I only throw on my Street wheels if I have to hit 20 miles plus. Yes that's right, I said 20 miles plus. Good luck getting 10 on a boosted extended range real world!

i totally would have bought a boosted board if they didn’t cost an arm and a leg. supply and demand. there wasn’t much demand so they should have decreased their profit margin. they would have sold way more units and they possibly could have stayed in business.
And I was going to buy one of these things. Even tho their are still for sail I don’t really want to give my money to someone else who just bought these from someone else who put time and effort to try and make these things. I hope boosted comes back
