Rock Island running in Iowa

Rock Island was a railroad that use so much of second hand units. The trains at Beech, Iowa, has the ex-Union Pacific unit in the lead. Passenger trains have always had a mix of passenger equipment. Of all the fallen flag railroads, this was my favorite railroad. I miss being out taken pictures by track side, not knowing what would come around the curve.
