I saw this at San Japan. Very compelling. It compacted Breath of the Wild very well, and they key moments were presented very effectively. The finale of it was especially my favorite.
Loved this piece, There are a lot of great edits and clip selections that make me want to play the game, despite knowing that I am still saving up to buy the system. Any AMV that makes me want to check out the series used is a winner in my book.
Saw this at Otakon too. I felt that it started out a little bit sloppy not through your fault but just because BotW has some wonk, jerky-looking animations sometimes (the Lynel near the beginning is a great example). But oh man did it absolutely come together around the middle and the rest was gold. I voted for you, shame to see Koe no Katachi beating you out for this. I think it was just the popular anime of the year =|
It's okay. :) The fact that it got such a STRONG, positive, reception is a pleasant surprise (I'm actually getting emails about this one...I never get emails) since I thought I could have made it so much better than I did had I not procrastinated recording the footage. Almost all of this was edited in the space of 48 hours and only managed to get in at all due to whatever grace period the Otakon AMV crew allowed. So I'll be the first to admit to some of the awkward jenkiness. The Lynel scene was actually the last clip I put in before rendering and I was in full on panic mode. XD I lost to two videos that I could have seen myself voting for had circumstances been different so, in spite of it all, I can't say I'm unhappy with the results. I'm sure that the count was a very close one. Thank you for your vote though!
Wow, that's a phenomenal job for just 2 days of editing! I'm glad you were able to enter, it was a worthy amv, and also introduced me to Trip The Light, which is one of the songs (along with a bunch of the other AMV winners from the weekend) I haven't been able to stop listening to since last weekend.
