He had many hobbies (lots of men hunt, fish, woodworking, etc.), but used those hobbies as an excuse to see other women. He had a 5 year affair with a woman he met at the airport (he used to be a pilot for major airline, but retired from that and just flew small airplanes as hobby). He still checked in regularly but I felt juggled. I asked some questions and discovered has a "close" female friend. I said a few words and cut it off. I miss him but I know I did the right thing.

When I was younger it was easier for me to make and keep male friends as opposed to female friends. It’s still hard for me to maintain female friends so I just hang out with my siblings (I have 4) and cousins. As an adult these male friends have turned into associates and we do not speak or see each other anymore. Maybe a happy birthday message once a year or so. I agree with Tony 100%, men and woman are not meant be friends forever. Tony made two really good points in this video. First, we have to know what the definition means and what it means to us, when we label what people are in our lives. I was iffy when Tony would say men and women can't be friends but now I'm kind of in aggreeance. Men and women can be acquaintances but the type of deep friendship I have with my close homegirls I wouldn't have it with any man besides my future husband. Second, Tony is right, we have to start putting ourselves in the mindset of a dysfunctional human because we have to ask how far would this person go to get what they wanted and what kind of person would do these things.

I don't know how to feel about this. My best friend/brother and I have been best friends since the 6th grade. We are well over the 40+ mark in age. Never kissed, touched or had any type of romantic feelings for one another. We make it a point when we enter into relationships that our significant others know about one another. That they are comfortable with us as well. We are not the type that have to talk to or be up under each other every single day. Our families are close. Dad's served in the military. When I was younger it was easier for me to make and keep male friends as opposed to female friends. It’s still hard for me to maintain female friends so I just hang out with my siblings (I have 4) and cousins. As an adult these male friends have turned into associates and we do not speak or see each other anymore. Maybe a happy birthday message once a year or so. I agree with Tony 100%, men and woman are not meant be friends forever. Could one of them be the one that got away, maybe but there will be opportunities to met someone that is for me and only has eyes for me
I find that as I get older, I spend more time with my family and less and less time with friends.

Tony made two really good points in this video. First, we have to know what the definition means and what it means to us, when we label what people are in our lives. I was iffy when Tony would say men and women can't be friends but now I'm kind of in aggreeance. Men and women can be acquaintances but the type of deep friendship I have with my close homegirls I wouldn't have it with any man besides my future husband. Second, Tony is right, we have to start putting ourselves in the mindset of a dysfunctional human because we have to ask how far would this person go to get what they wanted and what kind of person would do these things.
Everything that Tony says about fishing, is what would turn me off! Yuck! He made me laugh at his detailed description of why he does not like fishing! 😂😂

I don't know how to feel about this. My best friend/brother and I have been best friends since the 6th grade. We are well over the 40+ mark in age. Never kissed, touched or had any type of romantic feelings for one another. We make it a point when we enter into relationships that our significant others know about one another. That they are comfortable with us as well. We are not the type that have to talk to or be up under each other every single day. Our families are close. Dad's served in the military. In fact they knew each other and we didn't even know it at first. My mom is his only mother figure. I love and respect his girl as well. So it is possible for a male and female to be best friends. Only and I mean only if there is respect, boundaries and understanding of your position when it comes to the s/o.
I feel like most Christian circles treat these things as a black and white issue when it’s not. Ridding yourself of your best friend won’t fix a sin issue. Set aside boundaries, honor your spouse, don’t cheat, and within a trusting marriage, be friends with whoever as long as both spouses agree. That’s my opinion
