Fruit, same!!! Mum always put a 50c piece at the very bottom and then an orange above that. And I'm sure there were lots of fun things on top, but that's all I can remember. Also, she would cut up a pair of women's stockings and my sister and I would get one stocking leg each with our gifts stuffed inside, haha.
