  • Riding the Honda 90 from 1965 for the first time in nearly 6 years. This Honda is the early push-rod 87cc bike. It has been bored to 99.8 cc's with a cb175 2nd over piston. Intake and exhaust ported and polished. It can easily do over 60 mph.

Had a 1964 S90 in high school. There was a 133cc kit and an adapter for a carb off of a 250 scrambler. K, S, & Y were all making 2 strokes at the time, best $360 I ever spent.

They call this one the baby dream for a reason. Mine still runs like new after 60 years.

I see the bike has "Air Cushion Hand Grips" on it. Haven't seen those in decades!

Hey Lyle, my hands were freezing just watching you ride past all that snow with no gloves!

Sure does remind me of Lyle P's collection.

awesome. I have 2 of those engines here (one in a C200 like yours / and another as a swap in a C100) I'd love to try the overbore on one of them. Any issues to look out for / or a specific place to grab that piston and rings? (looks like a few ebay'able options.. but it's sometimes hard figuring out what's genuine / and what's a cheap reproduction) thx!

Engine was put together by previous owner for a pushrod production class Bonneville speed record attempt. Thus the aggressive tread on front and rear. He told me the parts were NOS Honda parts that were used. Ebay should have something suitable. The only thing to avoid is ethanol, use a good grade of fuel as the compression ratio is out of this world. It will try to seize at sustained speeds over 60 with octane under 91.
