Good job I went to a salon to get my hair relaxed after over ten years. I was texlaxing my hair with just for me. The hairstylist under process my hair. She said my hair should still have elasticity. She said my hair is 70% relaxed. When she flat on my hair; my hair was straight. But when I did it at home, I wasn’t able to have the same straight look. Maybe she under relax so I could keep coming back to her to get my hair done. I retouched my hair six months later, and I under process my hair, not knowing it was already under process the first time. The length of my hair is a curly pattern. Next time I will use your Tips. Thanks.
Did you do the roots and immediately go to pull through the rest of your hair? Or did you process the roots first and wait then in the last few minutes pull it through
I did 1 corrective relaxer about 6 weeks ago it didn't take if I do a corrective relaxer again how long should I wait I plan to stretch my relaxer a few months
Make sure you've had a good clarifying shampoo session before you relax. I've learned product buildup can keep the hair from processing properly.. I'm 8 1/2 weeks post and waiting to do a corrective relaxer for this same reason. It's sad we have to run to UA-cam to get the answers to things hair stylists should have told us... but I'm thankful for the free information nevertheless. 🙏
Hello I just had my relaxed Saturday and it didn’t take. I’m really down about it. I can’t I went about 9 months with out a relaxer which is longer than usual. I’m not sure if that was the problem or I didn’t leave the relaxer on long enough. My hair is puffy in the back and sides. I had curled some over the weekend, because I had an event to attend. I don’t know how to style it. Does anyone have any suggestions? It’s hard to style it now 😢😢
@@MyFav77I can't believe nobody answered you in 2 years.. I was watching a video and I also had the same problem with it under processing.I didn't feel like I left it on long enough because I was scared because I was using a lye relaxer.. Anyway, this lady whose hair looks absolutely beautiful, said just do your regular root touch up first, then maybe in the last 5 minutes start working some relaxer in the under processed parts of your hair... Maybe don't stretch it as long next time,9 months is a very long time for a stretch!
