Nice work. My great-great grandparents were born in Banteer. They came to the U.S. between 1860 and 1870, settling in Wheeling WV. I don't know what life was like in Banteer at that time for them to want to leave, but it's certainly a lot more picturesque there. But it's nice to see the area where some of my ancestors were from. I have lived in Banteer for a year and a half in 2009/2010... probably the only French in "town". I was very good friends with Caroline Fleming, who lived by the train station. May she rests in peace.
