Waited for 5 hours tonight, until Bioware fixes the servers, but damn... finally some new SWTOR content! Malgus is freaking huge... Acina has him on a leash though.
He serves a puppet she's only emperor because it took an entire empire to imprison us, the title is rightfully ours for there is not a single Sith left that is stronger than us, maybe magus but we've defeated him before.
When I saw the carbonite scene in the trailer, I was like: "oh no, malgus". When I saw him leave it, my mind just became mush. This guy should be dead. If I have to guess, I think acina was the one that saved him and now he serves her.
That kinda makes sense. Malgus was a great strategist, and he promoted ideas of racial diversity within ranks of the Empire, implying that it will make the Empire stronger. And now we see Acina following these ideas and shaping the Empire in this way.
There's a dialogue at the end where Malora confirms that Malgus was revived by Acina as Cyborg and that she isn't the only one who's holding the leash (maybe Vowrawn, too). She's using him as a weapon. When Acina calls him back to DK for "preparing" you can clearly see fear in his eyes. I think the good old Malgus is dead.
one Grand Sith Returned another is waiting (I am talking about Jadus of course) anyway as for what is the deal between Malgus and Acina well I have a theory. We clearly see a deep cut in Malgus' skull that is patched with cybernetic implants. In my mind that can only mean one thing. Brain surgery. Remember the programming that the empire forced on Cypher 9? Well, what if Acina has done that to Malgus in a buffed version. Malgus didn't look happy serving Acina. And we all know that he is way more powerful than her. And Malgus always wanted to become the new emperor. What I liked most about Malgus is that he always saw the bigger picture he was ruthless and merciless but he wasn't arrogant and he wasn't stupid. He had a bunch of aliens in his army recognizing their value. So I doubt that he would destroy everything like how to grow crops tech. That seemed out of character. I think that his extra violence is a side-effect of his brain surgery.(Heck the Cypher went near insane with his/her)
Considering all, I don’t like immortal characters. Even the most enduring hero or tough villain should know when to quit. Malgus suffered epic jaw and possible throat damage but reduced the sound effects with his Force talents. He was able to use the Dark Side to endure and recover. But brain or spine injury? I wonder what’s next. Even the mightiest dynamic ones eventually succumb. Perhaps someone like Malgus does not die hard but with a whimper or in a sudden humbling blow.
I'm calling it now that Malgus is gonna regain control by the time of the expansion. Idk if he will rule as the new emperor but I wouldn't be surprised if something happened to allow it. Unless a surprise bigger threat screws that up as a plot twist. Plus yeah, Jadus needs to return too. I kinda figured he'd actually have something to do with the control too given his past "experiments" but who knows.
12:40 That expression of sheer terror in his face... One can't help but wonder what unfathomable horror can put fear in the heart of one such as Malgus.

I quit SWTOR in 4.x I felt like EA was just not giving Bioware enough resources to do the IP justice, and their limited budget, left them with limited choices, and a lot of the story options they were presenting the players didn't feel "good" to me. I will say though, Malgus looks really well done. His writing seems good, and his aesthetics are great; the cyanotic flesh with implants, and hints of other cybernetics... but especially his eyes. They glance around a bit, don't seem to focus on what they should, and I think I've seen them focus independently. He really looks like someone who might not be happy to be back (implied by his story comments) and isn't entirely under his own control (also, clearly implied by the story). ...I wasn't someone who was clamouring for his return, but it looks like they did a good job.
Last time we saw Malora she was the apprentice to Lord Rennig. So, she's climbed FAR. Which, to some degree a sad indictment of how far the Sith Empire has fallen (or, at least lost ranks).

Yoo, I just got his book. The Star Wars Old Republic Deceived novel with him in the front cover. Such a total badass, and definitely deserves to be the number 1 favorite Sith Lord. I hope the game comes out for the Switch.
Perhaps Acina has a literal deadman’s switch. Which might fit into what Malora hinted at when she said that Acina may hold the reigns over him and how someone else might be able to gain the reigns instead.
I have mixed feelings on Malgu-s' return: on one hand, when a character is shown to me as being dead, I expect it to remain as such. On the other hand, I liked his vision of a new, more advanced and alien-friendly Empire. That vision deserved a second chance. I am sad that Gnost-Dural gets killed in this video, though. He was a very cool narrator character in the backround videos for the game.
I can’t wait to play this at the weekend doing a completely fresh start I’ll be a Jedi Knight first. That where she said that “No impossible. You died.” Was my response to him coming back
I was most shocked to see him. And my 1st thought was to finish what I started on Ilum so long ago. Hopefully, if BioWare allows us to take the Imperial throne in the future, either Malgus will bow or perish
I didn't have any hopes that Malgus was dead or alive after he tried taking over the Galaxy, but now he's alive and well it's good to see him again fighting for the Sith Empire.
By the stars I hope so my Inquisitor would do it in a heartbeat he did it once already and seriously if it was me I would have done something similar to Koth loath as I am to say it and planted bombs in the Gravestone in case someone tried his stunt again and blow it up before losing my badass fleet the way we did. After all we get the super weapons on Iokath in the OP so we have a replacement for the Gravestone in power level at least.
Sadly we couldn't take over in KOTFE, since the Inquisitor already said she would be no match for him... but well... you know the whole bastard faction thing which ANNOYS ME WITHOUT END!
Was definitely cool to see Malgus come to life again, he hardly lifts a finger to force push Malora off the ledge into the abyss which I thought was hilarious. Having him fight by your side at the end for the sith warrior storyline was so awesome I only wished he was a permanent companion you could call upon. Malgus isn't a moron and I think we can clearly tell he hates being Acina's servant and that he plans to take control of the empire again at some point or has some plan to overthrow Acina that is my guess. But let me point out the story was MUCH better on the Republic side
I love Malgus, he is my favorite Sith ever. He is among the most powerful Sith ever to live and he lived a VERY long time due to his cybernetics so he had a very long and amazing life, I admire Malgus so much to be able to fight side-by-side with him virtually is a dream come true.
Whatever Acina is doing to Malgus is bad. That look of pure fear on his face when she told him to return and prepare for his next assignment was crazy. What does it take to make Malgus poop his pants?

8:32 you may think it's an animation bug but actually malgus just turned off the safety on his lightsaber
hehe
*Player:* I just hope you can keep up with me.
*Malgus:* GRRRR....
(I did this on my bounty hunter file, and man, I was laughing my ASS off!!!)
6:37 Darth Malgus is tired of your shit 😂😂
I like Malgus' new aesthetic also has Malora had a promotion
yeah she's a dark council member
Last time we saw Malora she was the apprentice to Lord Rennig. So, she's climbed FAR. Which, to some degree a sad indictment of how far the Sith Empire has fallen (or, at least lost ranks).
10:52 Cor likes his Twi'leks doesn't he
yes he does :D
xLetalis Just like Malgus lul
I don’t trust Malora. Something about her feels...off.
I invited her into the Alliance, her voice and mutations are kind of attractive
@@lyrrr.8059 I'd do the same thing two reasons one I need a mad scientist Mandalore the Ultimate had Demagol why shouldn't I have Malora two having her join removes her from the Dark council and gives the chance for someone mature and capable also if we were able to we should be the one to tell Acina not to blame Malgus but Malora she's the one who delayed the operation and it was Malgus and myself who got a everything on track instead of wasting resources for another also if Malora screws up again it would fall to us to punish her
Something feels off about the crazy sith lady?
That's like saying i don't trust Quinn.... i mean i trust acina more than malora.... and acina tried to kill me... twice
I forgive acina..... she's hot and i respect her insanity
Darth Malgus Badass Sith and why not Darth jadus return and other sith come back
Gnost-Dural: "I love the smell of plasma munitions in the morning"
Wow. "A communications disruption can mean only one thing: invasion"
"there's always a bigger fish"
This is just, The Phantom Menace references: the update huh?
Malgus' eyes glowing in the dark is so cool
Been waiting for his triuphant return
Malgus pissed off at the guy wearing his old Armor
Acena: "Malgus, I want you to enact your authority as my Wrath and get rid of this incompetent, insane Dark Council member."
Malgus: "Understood."
Acena: "Now get in the box."
Darth Malgus; Arrives by drop pod and instantly conducts an efficient and brutal military campaign, wiping away all obstacles and securing all strategic and tactical objectives. A Sith murder machine that's also a strategic genius and pragmatist. Goddamn.
I do find it amusing how they have Malgus IMMEDIATELY throw someone off cliff and to then have her come back to brush off the throw as a way to justify how he survived The False Emperor.
Okay so Malgus is a giant now? Or was he always so darn tall?
Just A Nerd he’s been tall but when u fight him in the flashpoint he looks giant already
@@JordanJumpin yeah just like that Gemini droid.
Wasn't Malgus frozen in Carbonite? :/
@@trollfacenationalist3653 yeah thats the thing, Zakuul had him. The sith must have had spies that took him and had him undergo surgery for his wounds and to put a kill switch in him.
@@user-zl6ps4rp9g Did they added metal adjusters to his leg and arms during surgery just like Vader, to look intimidated?
13:15
Cor'Malluz: well bye
Malgus: hmmmmm...
after all of this, not even a hug xD
When he shows up you know that something big is gonna happen. 😎
5:15 I see what you did there BioWare
7:52 ooh good one!
"This is what you get for not making another holo record Dural!"
THE LOOK OF FEAR IN HIS EYES WHEN SHE RECALLS HIM LMAO
He's definitely under her fucking finger, look at the fear in "so we may prepare you for your next assignment". You don't need to prepare a wrath, unless he's vulnerable or is about to be punished or both.
His glowing eyes are god tier
I was amused by the look on Malus face when she said " We must prepare you for you next mission."
5:14 "Always a bigger fish" -Qui Gon
Minor but I love how the female imperial doctor is all like "is this really happening?" lol. It made me chuckle a bit.
Yoo, I just got his book. The Star Wars Old Republic Deceived novel with him in the front cover. Such a total badass, and definitely deserves to be the number 1 favorite Sith Lord. I hope the game comes out for the Switch.
Glad to have him back he is an ideal sith and a badass
*Malgus:* (pushes Malora over the edge, to her death)
*Me:* MALGUS! That was supposed to be MY kill!
Perhaps Acina has a literal deadman’s switch.
Which might fit into what Malora hinted at when she said that Acina may hold the reigns over him and how someone else might be able to gain the reigns instead.
Damn you were quick to upload this video lol, I haven't even gotten time to play Jedi Under Siege yet
We really need new character textures and models. I feel like a NPC standing next to the story characters (Especially next to Malgus)
hehe, that's a good idea
My character has the most tall posture yet It looks small comparing to Malgus. Also , any theories what Acina has on Malgus?
Malgus is 7'2" in canon.
Darth Malgus: I am in command now.
Darth Nox/Imperius/Occulus: oh for fuck's sake.
"You were right all along Malgus I'm sorry."
Oooooo. This is gonna be good.
I squealed when I saw Malgus pop from the Escape Pod. My wife thinks I have a Malgus complex :)
HE.....HAS RETURNED!!!
I want that new Malgus armor. I. NEED. It!
Aye, That Gnost-Dural dude is soldier 76!
I just had an idea.
Darth Nazeem. Let the galaxy tremble at his might and lament at the fact that the cloud district is closed to them forever!
Hope you don't expect a hug. LOL.
Fuck I love Sith Warrior's voice acting so much, glad you went through this on him.
"No... That's not true! That's impossible!"
Malgus is scared. That stare when Acina talked about preparing him...you don't see that often.
I didn't have any hopes that Malgus was dead or alive after he tried taking over the Galaxy, but now he's alive and well it's good to see him again fighting for the Sith Empire.
12:42 i think malgus and the empress are about to have a bit of fun ;)
I basically heard “K thanks bye”
I always thought Malgus was SWTOR's Illidan Stormrage...
I may even like him more than Illidan ;]
NIIIIIIIIICE! ADDING A WOW REFERENCE TO STAR WARS! I GIVE MY COMMENDATIONS, 5 STARS! :D
I dont like having to take orders from malgus. Woulda been cool if out warrior/inquisitor became the leader of the empire.
Acina will probably betray us. I can see us having the option to become the new Emperor.
Your main character is far beyond Malgus in power. He better stay in line
your dude looks like a mini Malgus when you cant see him
LONG LIVE DARTH MALGUS!!!
1:58 I AM DARTH MALGUS. I speak with the full power of the Sith Empire. And I am in command now. DAAAAAAMMMMMNNNNN RIGHT! WELCOME BACK MY LORD!
I killed immortal Emperor. What is Malgus to me now? He is nothnig!
Hey guys come watch our bounty hunter play through! Y'all will love it and we'll keep more videos coming!
Lego Qui-Gon death sound at 5:49
Enjoy
All hail Lord Malgus!!
nice that u put a cut and ask the other question as well^^
I liked Malgus, always have. it sucked that i couldn't join his faction and help him fight against the republic and empire.
