Very good review and short play through. I played the original RAF game from West End Games many years ago and sold my board games a couple of years ago due to loss of interest and busy life. But this new Deluxe Edition has piqued my interest. I might go for the more plodding board game just because the process of selecting cards and rolling dice creates a little bit of anticipation in my opinion though game play will be much longer. I have one question....do you know of a similar game which takes place over Germany with the Luftwaffe vs 8th AF and Bomber Command night raids?
RAF Lion is, IMO, the best operational air game I've played. Certainly top for BoB. I had thought it was only a board game. Good to know about this digital version, perhaps I'll have to pick it up. Maybe the automations (if there are any) will help smooth out some of the management tedium.
