    About the Museum:
Cambridge Museum of Technology was founded by students of Cambridge University and workers in local industries when the Old Pumping Station ceased operation in 1968. Since the Museum's first public open day in May 1971, this independent, volunteer-led museum has explored the city's industrial heritage.
The Museum features permanent exhibitions about sanitation, manufacturing, power-generation and food production. The Pye Building hosts permanent displays about
Cambridge Scientific Instrument Company and Pye, exploring the origins of "The Cambridge Phenomenon" and "Silicon Fen", from medical devices to professional
    audio-visual-broadcast and consumer-electronics equipment.
This independent museum relies on income from visitors, ticketed-events and its funding partners
