- Pellet waggler can be an awesome, and rewarding tactic when trying to catch Carp.
In this video I cover the basics, that I feel will help you catch more carp. Including the set up I use, and how I fish the pellet waggler.
The‘pellet waggler’ is a brilliant summer method of fishing up in the water for huge nets of match carp. But you’re always busy, so it isn’t a method for the work shy!
The idea is to suspend a hookbait a few inches to a few feet from the surface and constantly catapult bait around it. The carp will be attracted by the sound of the loosefeed, and of the float, splashing down on the water’s surface, and home in on the suspended hookbait.
The ability to feed accurately by catapult while still holding the rod is essential for this style of fishing.
Tackle
Because you’re targeting larger carp you need a more powerful rod than you use for general insert waggler fishing. A good pellet waggler rod should have a smooth, progressive action to soak up sudden lunges under the rod tip. Shorter rods will help you play and net big carp easier on smaller commercial fisheries.

Yes freespirit rods are absolutely awesome i have a float rod feeder rod and barbel rod there all made by freespirit i fish the river wye most of the time chasing barbel best so far 14LB 7 OZ the distance feeder rod is a beast cast coconuts to the horizon it's very strong had carp to 35LB on it love going to Drayton reservoir with this beast i fish the waggler on my float rod pellet waggler etc but my favorite place is the river wye nothing like catching the muscle machine barbel there absolutely fantastic fish but yes freespirit rods are nice but when it comes to rods we all have are own opinion my saying is if your happy with your rods then thats fine there is nothing better than having confidence in your gear i tell you what mate if your looking for really good rods that are not going to cost £200-£500 look at CADENCE RODS i was at a show talking to james robbins about there rods mate i swear these rods are incredible there so well made really top quality at absolutely fantastic prices i bought there distance feeder rod and i have to say it's blew me away i have just ordered there waggler rod got it 5 days ago fished with it last weekend tremendous rod at a ridiculous price take a look at there website i can honestly say these rods are crazy for the price beautiful action well balanced very light weight and they are as good as any freespirit rods i swear by these CADENCE RODS great company awesome customer service just take a gander at there website ALIEN i subscribed to your channel tight lines buddy ALIEN

What did you think of the aventus rod my personal opinion on these guru rods is way over priced for what they are there made by Daiwa but who ever set the price point should get there P45 there ridiculous for the price the distance feeder rod is £475 that is crazy even the stockists of these rods have said all the customers have said the price is ridiculous and i have to agree with them ALIEN
I have always been a fan of Daiwa, i do rate them. But i grew up use porky pig feeder rods and harrier xs so changed a lot of years. For me they cast really well, pick up is great, good through action and strong to boot. I get ya point but ref pricing, but i think all tackle has gone up and bait. But i do belive these rods are quality, but i am no rod professor or top match pro lol
Porky pig i had 1 bait is going sky high the prices are ridiculous so i buy all my pellets wholesale and hemp i buy lots of liquid additive from wholesale i save a small fortune the tackle shops are getting to expensive tackle i find has not gone up that much but i have to say guru tackle is over priced 12 years ago fishing was dead in this country commercial fishing saved angling but now commercial fishing is all about greed i don't fish commercials because the fish can't move anywhere thats why i love river fishing and especially the river wye you have to find them awesome barbel nothing like fishing a river or a canal proper fishing ALIEN
@@delwigzieful i am starting to fish natural venues again. Will be do a few episodes on the river next year.
I use a 12 ft Ninja match, it does pretty much everything from silver fish to pellet waggler with ease, I grew up using 13ft match rods and those 11 footer's just didn't feel right to me and you can use a lighter waggler with a 12 foot. Each to his own I guess but I'm not fishing to make Adam Rooney rich he's rinsing You with his guru tackle prices. The fish don't know the difference. It's marketing hype. The only brand I'd splash out on would be Tri cast they've always made quality gear.
