    Remember that Austin never would've had that promo or won KOTR if the Curtain Call never happened and Triple H won instead like he was supposed to. But since the Curtain Call happened and because Nash and Hall were out the door and Shawn was basically bulletproof, Triple H got punished, the KOTR win went to Austin and he cut that promo that led to him becoming one of, if not, the biggest stars in wrestling history.

    • @davidausbun
      @davidausbun 2 роки тому +4

      Not entirely true. Yes 99% of promos are scripted down to feel unauthentic, but every once in a while, for certain people, there will be a promo that just hits. One example of one of my favorite promos of all time was John Cena ripping into Roman Reigns during their No Mercy contract signing. Also, even though it was over 10 years ago at this point, don't forget about the pipebomb where Vince allowed Punk to just speak his mind and say what he wanted (up until he brought up the bullying campaign).

The shock of mankind and the theatrical from undertaker, wwe needed Austin. 92 and the lost of hogan, warrior, the misuse of diesel and flair the product was bad. He saved the entire world and help bring in rock and even Kurt angle! Great time to be a fan!

    I love Stone Cold, and no matter what people say, I will always hold Owen Hart responsible for breaking his neck and sidelining him for the highlight of his years. Yes Owen is dead, but he really did a number on Steve's neck and could have paralyzed him with that move. I know that Steve said that he forgave Owen and that just shows how graceful he is as a person.

    • @captainnutsack8151
      @captainnutsack8151 6 місяців тому

      You are absolutely correct. Owen gets a pass because he died. But that reverse pile driver was pure negligence. And he never truly made amends with Austin. He never rightfully apologized. Apparently he gave him a 30 second phone call, weeks later. It was half assed. Owen broke his neck with pure negligence, and totally derailed his career. Austin was totally different as a wrestler after that injury. Compare his 1998 matches with his famous match with Bret Hart. Austin was a gifted worker, very technically sound. He was reduced to being a monotonous brawler after the injury.
