I know I was equally confused about visibility when I started learning it with a friend., the lite rules don’t explain it well and the core rules don’t provide visuals. So it wasn’t until I saw a youtube video that I understood. It would be nice if the core rules /lite rules did include photos though, that way the other player could’ve just gone “Here’s GW’s example of this in the book.” saving them both time to get back to the game.
Depends on the spotter, most spotters do work even when the target is concealed by heavy cover. As the guy says - they mean you count as an engage order. It's primarily only vantage points that are ineffective vs heavy cover
