Tidewater was a thriving community at one time. It had a train station, post office, turpentine still, sawmill, and family homes. The sawmill moved and the town slowly disappeared. If you will stop by the Dunnellon Historic Train Depot one Tuesday we are there from 9-12. The depot was built in 1908. We have a small museum with books, maps, newspaper articles and a railroad box with a map of Tidewater and article about the community. We would love to visit with you.

Is this where Aileen Wuornos did her famous work or was that in Ocala?
