Mom, besides the steamer, either LA's totally awesome cleaner (frost clear bottle with red writing on it, dull yellow liquid often sold at $ tree) or full strength/undiluted hunter green color original simple green (jug at Walmart sold in auto section) work great on grout too. I had a kitchen floor like that & used both (at different x's) with a scrub brush. Spray, let it sit about 60 sec & then brush. Hope that helps.
Your grandpa reminds me of my grandpa who passed away this year from dementia so I love seeing him. P.S. One time I commented asking if your grandpa had dementia and u said no so if you remember that well that was me

Watching this made me realise it was actually Christmas yesterday. I am waiting on my c19 test results so in isolation until I get them so spent the day watching cheesy Sci Fi and drinking coffee.
