I do agree that it feels like they were very afraid with the multi element LBs which I do get. FF is a very consistent game but getting an absolute powerhouse out of the LB guaranteed is a bit scary.
I think the Lucio has a potential to be a power house for crystal decks. I would run 4 warrior of the crystal in the two elements your runninng. Probably water and lightning. I want to think of him as 5cp draw two (which happen to be the worse cards in deck to use for CP and filter to get to the other good cards). If he can last 2 or 3 turns, he's done his job for a pseudo 1cp 8k (10k) and 4-6 crystals.
I honestly like Raph with Lucio - you search her + a colorfix; if they kill lucio you can raph, if they dont you keep getting 2 crystals + special each turn
A little bit - I do wonder if just fading a draw is bad enough that your opponent now has this dark card rotting in their hand. And at some point, 2 Crystals might as well be infinite right? So… I dunno honestly.
Xezat, Belle, Don Corneo and Cait Sith either cannot remove backups or have other conditions. Magna Roader does not have conditions on cards he can discard. :) So we get to Uhm Actually you haha. Magna Roader is a new effect for Ice.
@@GhoulSRLSecond time listening to it I realised I managed to miss the line of “unconditionally discard” afterwards so I will take my L here. Thanks for the set reviews though. While I didn’t agree with everything (I thought you were overly harsh on the LB cards), it’s been an enjoyable listen over the past few days.
I think they’re mostly fine - I just genuinely wanted more from them. There’s a decent chance that I was overly harsh because I don’t think they’re particularly interesting takes on what the cards could be. But admittedly, the Earth/Wind one is testing like a sidegrade to Cloud for me so I’ll take it.
@ I think Cact-berry is deceptively good. It’s basically a bit of role compression for your 8Lb cards functioning as a slightly worse cloud and a slightly better Leo. It also has some benefits of being able to be played when you have cloud out on the field or vice versa which can help out in games you need plenty of removal. Always having access to breakzone hate is also never a bad thing in the case of Gilgamesh which can force your opponent to be conservative with what they discard.
He’s been better in testing than I expected as well but I still look at him and wonder if there was something more interesting he could have been. Like the art is great and I was really excited and “sidegrade to Leo but worse than Lunafreya” and “worse Cloud” doesn’t excite me. Like imagine if, instead, they made him support for card name Tonberry or Cactuar and made us reconsider the value of some older bulk cards?
"Stop trying to make Ravana happen".....I appreciate I wasn't the only one who enjoyed that meme for Ravana lol

Gilgamesh is instant access break zone hate. Do NOT sleep on that.
I will do the obligatory “Um Akshuly” moment with ice having the effect a few times with cards like Cait Sith and the 1CP legend Xezat.
