Alastair was like: I know Serbia is cold.... lol :D... I think you meant SIBERIA :) BUT GOOD JOB! love u guys
Saying that Portugal and Spain "are the same" is a sure way to annoy a portuguese. We're at most brothers, sometimes :P
Too funny! Bell-Air-Us? No... Bella-Roose! The way you pronounced some country names had me rolling! Lol! Really enjoyed this! Well done guys! ~ Chris
Ooops
27:26 Gotta love Whoreland
Alastair: “Oh my God you guys, I’m doing soo well” …poor Zack 😂
The way you pronounced Belarus 🤣🤣🤣
I'm very surprised both of you knew croatia. Thank you 😊
12:08 Not me here crying in Portuguese ahah.
It's as if for you guys Mexico and the US was the same haha. Even though it's not the same language, not the same culture, not the same cuisine, just neighbors. That made me chuckle :)
I think he meant the languages sound similar to him?
FYI, plenty of places in the US feel, look, and sound just like Mexico. There are places where you can't get by without Spanish (but English is optional). We don't technically have an official language in the US, anyway.
España y Portugal son países hermanos , aunque hablen otro idioma como vascos, catalanes y gallegos. Nada que ver con la relación México USA.😂
As a Dutchie I also went 😮
@@anacasanova7350 Exacto, no solo vecinos...que feo ha sonado
Somehow that mad me angry and I'm not even Portuguese
Alastair: “I know where Albania is because that’s where the Kardashians harken from” 😂😂😂 Two stereotypes delivered in one 😂 (“Americans are shit at geography” and “the gays are all about the Kardashians”) and still wrong (they originate from Armenia so thank God that wasn’t in the quiz). I love you two doing these challenges but it only really works when alcohols involved 😂❤. I’m Scottish so tell us where Scotland is!! 🤣
Oops 😬
" I’m Scottish so tell us where Scotland is!! 🤣"
Uh.. somewhere between England, the North Sea and the Atlantic?
Scotland is in the only cool part of the UK.
Sad Georgia isnt there even if it is european
Lol. Albania gave us Bebe Rexha, Dua Lipa and Rita ora if anyone cares 😂
You both did really well for Americans 😀. I was shouting the answers at my phone. Great fun, as always. Love you guys x x
I am European and I am ashamed to admit that Alastair did better than I would've done
I just started watching it so I don’t know but I hope he does better than he did last with US states.
You should be ashamed !
Where are you from?
@@Hosigie Finland
You better start learning cause if that is true , is very embarrassing !!
Zach, I was yelling at my tv during your performance. 😀
Alastair did pretty decent.
I forget sometimes that Alastair was raised in Mexico.
And of course he did state that they studied Mexican and European geography but not the USA so much.
So I am giving you guys a bit of a break. I probably wouldn’t have done perfectly on this one.
Some of the countries that were part of Yugoslavia are hard to keep track of.
Another fun video from Zachastair! I just made that up! Feel free to use it.
Portugal sounds like Spain.
You had a lot to drink.
Yeah and Canada sounds like the US
I am loving these! I am also loving seeing your competitiveness and closeness in equal measure. I miss your vlogs so these and c&t and the ones with your mum zach are really making me happy 👏🏻👌🏻
I was yelling at the tv every time Alastair kept pointing to the wrong state & had to laugh because obviously he couldn’t hear me! 😂😅😂
Adorably competitive. I like how Zach is alternately slightly bemused and yet supportive of Alastair's win. It's OK, Zach, I think most of the US couldn't have done better. Alastair is just a bit better at this geography stuff. I am really liking these quizzes. The reasoning, the arguing and the camaraderie is always charming. Watching you guys is so much fun. Carry on with these quizzes. Love to you both!!!
The way Alastair had to take several a deep breaths while doing pretty well kind of gives me life somehow, you two are just too adorable 🥰.
LOL at how you both pronounce Belarus like it was a brand of snowmobiles.
Both of your geography challenges were exceptionally fun videos to watch. Each of you worked through those maps with intelligence and great humor. You should be proud that you did so well. I particularly enjoyed seeing Zach cuddling Alastair at the end as that's a lot more intimacy than we usually get to see from the P-Gs. You always know this is one rock solid couple but it is great to see it confirmed.
I loved and laughed along as much as you guys did! Let's do it again soon! I'm so happy you two are growing stronger together as ever day passes along. I can see the connection getting stronger. Much South Carolina Love, Donnie Harper.
you guys actually did really well on this. WEll done!!
I spent this video waiting on Zach to call Sweden, Finland, and Norway the Finger Lake Countries
Well done Alastair , you did better than I would have.I really enjoyed the last two vlogs. Take care
Loved it, another fun episode guys, geography was not my favorite subject so you both would of blew me away. I do enjoy these too so glad you'll be doing more similar ones. As always take care, and we'll see ya when we do......tootles
You both did great! I am so confused by the break up of Czeckoslovakia and Yugoslavia.
That was like 30 years ago
Watching Eurovision all these years made this a fairly easy challenge for my self 😊
Yes interesting how people are no longer taught geography or history anymore. Your content is always informative and enlightening. Great job Zack and Alastair.
I’m a little late to the party, but I wanted to tell you, I really enjoyed watching and I think you did very well. You’re not dumb. Nobody knows everything and people have individual strengths in different topics. To continue to be curious and willing to learn is more important than anything. Lots of love from Germany ☀️
Good going, love both of you. Have a great fall.
Really fun!! Haven't been to Greece, but took my husband to Italy. Loved it, he's half Italian and into genealogy. Meet a girl who was the spitting image of his mom at 16 and went to a town in Sisaly where half the population had his last name of Bono. I could spend a month in Rome and loved the Amalfi coast. Do a movie pop star quiz, maybe a Jeopardy style.
i love listening to you guys... its my radio when i travel in the car ❤️
Greets from The Netherlands ! You did a great Job the both off you !!
Do it again! World geography next, please!!
As a European (French) I've been finding this video so amazing, and also sometimes a bit frustrating or irritating sometimes! First being like "I alway mix up Switzerland and Sweden" OMG that's sooooo irritating xD It's like those who mix up Autria and Australia. But all in all, you both did better than I would have imagined :) We have this stereotypical idea in Europe that Americans suck at Geography, but all in all it wasn't that bad at all on your part! You even beat me on the Balkans states. Appart from Croatia and Slovakia, I always get mixed up with those. Here are some tips to improve your score next time :
- About Poland, you told you got interested in WWII history, and Poland played a huge part in the beginning of the conflict by being invaded by Nazi Germany. So yeah, Poland is this relatively big state sharing a relatively huge border with Germany.
- Then not knowing that Monaco is a state city in southern France, common! This state is well known for its abundance of wealth (second wealthiest on the planet per capita) on a very tiny state often called "le rocher" ("the Rock") on the French Riviera.
- For the Baltic states there is an easy way to remind them : they are three small states placed in alphabetic order from north to south. First Estonia, then Latvia, then Lithuania.
- Then, to know where to put Slovakia in regards to the Czech Republic, just remember that those two countries used to be one called "Czechoslovakia". So the Czech Republic and Slovakia share a boundary between each others.
- Also, about Andora : did you know that Andora is a principality who's head of state are two co-Princes, one coming from Spain and one coming from France as it sits between France and Spain. The one who comes from France simply is the French President, who currently is Emmanuel Macron. So Emmanuel Macron is President of the French Republic and Co-Prince of Andora (until his mandate as French president ends).
=> But all in all well done ! If you visit Europe, please don't stick to Italy though. Although there are some amazing historical monuments and so on to see in Italy, there are a lot of other amazing stuffs and cities to see in Europe. Paris is the most visited city in the world, and France is the most visited country in the world. There are loads of things to do and see in France and I'd be glad to help you out if you're in needs there. Then from Paris you can jump into the Eurostar (high speed train that goes under the channel tunnel) to get to London, which is also an amazing city. Then you can get back the Eurostar again to visit Amsterdam, the capital city of the Netherlands. The whole city is a Unesco world heritage known for its canals and historic houses. It's also well know for being the capital of one of the most tolerant country on earth (first country to introduce gay mariage in the world, first country to legalize marijuana in the world and so on...). Berlin is also worth a visit, so is Copenhagen in Danemark and Stockholm in Sweden. Lots of things to do in Europe and I would be the thrilled to see videos of your trip here :) Take the chance while the Euro is so weak compared to the USD right now (sadly for us though, thanks to crazy Putin and his nonsense war).
isn't the hague the capital of the netherlands ? amsterdam just feels like it.
Thank you for a very informative reply. I found it so interesting and clear. I'm from Utah in the US. I admit I am kind of geographically challenged so I appreciated the clarity of your descriptions.
@@acommentator4452Amsterdam IS the capital, The Hague (‘sGravenhage or Den Haag in Dutch) is just the seat of government.
The name Kardashian comes from Armenia in the Caucasus Mountains between Turkey & Russia. Cher's father is of Armenian descent as is Andre Agassi. Mother Teresa was of ethnic Albanian heritage although she was born in what is now present-day North Macedonia.
These two are glowing!
You two are absolutely adorable together.
Things to help you remember Europe: ▪︎ SloVENia is next to VENice ▪︎ BeNeLux ▪︎ Baltic States: Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania ▪︎ Austro-Hungarian Empire ▪︎ Switzerland & Austria form a dumbbell ▪︎ Montenegro (Black Mountain) is next to Albania (White Land) ▪︎ The first country Germany invaded in WW2 was Czechoslovakia, then the Netherlands, then Poland.
The very first country was invaded by Germany in WW2 was Poland 🇭🇺✌🏻...
I had alot of fun too. I liked how Alstair yelled out your name.
Very entertaining again, boys!
Good job Alastair!!
I love these, it is fun to watch and I travel to Europe often not sure I could have got all the countries. Keep this up, see who actually wins the finger award. I think we need a finger lake award given to the final husband winner at the end of the challenges. Have a great day guys see u Friday.
Zach, I was biting my nails and keeping my fingers crossed when you searched for Poland. 🙃We are one of the biggest countries in Europe, we house over two milion of war refugees from Ukraine and are the hub for international help for Ukraine, the WW II started with Germans attacking us and now we are undergoing hybrid attacks from the Bealorussian border. You had no problems identyfying all neighbours of Poland but not Poland itself ???😭😢😥. Other than that you did very good. Many Americans would have problems to identify anything on this map, I'm afraid 😉
Great job Alistair!
This was painful!!!!! I was almost smashed the monitor. I think I need a drink. Good job Alistar. Zach OMG.
These are fun, so yes, more please.
love you both so much
Felt for Zach, he obviously loved WW2, but most of those countries didn't exist in WW2. So good show.
Well done guys - I'm a Brit and a former RAF transport pilot and you did much better than me and my colleagues!
Kardashians are Armenian ancestored . Belarus (Yellow Russia) ruled by a dictator that is under Putin's thumb. Moldovans are ethnically Romanians that were forcibly taken into the Soviet Union by Stalin. You guys did much better than most Americans. You all are such a joy to watch.
I think it is great you all are focusing on one or two countries for your trip. Both Greece and Italy have so much to experience you could be in either one and it would take years to full explore either one. it used to frustrate me when 30 years ago when my Japanese students would go to Europe and do a city a day in different countries and end up not really experiencing the culture, food and history. When history is told well it is always a lot of interesting, dramatic and sometimes funny stories.
Belarus aka belõi Rossija aka white Russia
I always remembered them by NSF... Norway Sweden Finland. Once you put that in your head.. it's there forever.
Took the quiz myself and now I understand why Zach felt like the quiz grades unfairly 😂. I got most SE European countries wrong but I think I deserved a higher grade cause most countries in Europe as a whole I either got right first try or second.
The wonderful and slightly amazing thing is, both of you were able to name all the European countries faster then the states in the USA! Good fun, and a laugh though! 😊
again the two of you are so adorable and so cute love the show
I give Alister 2 thumbs up with a full twist ...I give Zach a big kiss and hug for trying ...haha I really enjoyed you guys your both awesome and love you both 😊❤️
I wanted to tell Zach to think about Austria-Hungary being one country in WWI so bad!
Wow, it's great you're doing these educational episodes. On the U.S. one, I wouldn't have scored higher than Zach did. Do a bunch more! 😁😉
We really enjoyed these two Geography quizzes. We have been to the US several times so know most of the states but thought you guys did really well on Europe. The Balkans are all quite new and not many Europeans would get them. The city states are real independent countries which through history have managed not to be swallowed up by their big neighbours, and are like the tiny US states. The Vatican State used to cover most of Central Italy but when the modern Italy was created the Pope lost his territory and was finally given the Vatican City as his country by Mussolini. Years ago we went to Vegas and we saw the Shania Twain concert, including her coming in on a motorbike and her horse as well. Have followed you two for a couple of years, but this is our first comment, sorry it is so long! Keep up the good videos. Ralph and Keith. England.
Zach, I know you and Alastair are talking about all Americans know European geography from over the world at your house in Texas on this video during the episode of "Coffee & Tequila" to answering some questions to study them a lot after all the kids were back to school, but it's very important to do that, so I'm proud of you, because you're openly gay, he's your husband and you had the Southern accent, it was my birthday last Friday and I'm 33 years old, now!!
Kid, calm down and use punctuation. Look at that wall of text and try to get any meaning out of it.
Lichtenstein is a city in Switzerland. Dozens of Lichtensteinians cried out in pain I bet. 😂
😅
Lithuania, Macedonia, Austria and Hungary all used to be much bigger at some point, so it often takes people off guard.
Swede here, I just took basically the same test as you guys did and I got 75% in just under 6 minutes
Seterra's learning mode is a great way to learn geography.
Not knowing Austria and Hungary is to History and Geography the equivalent of not knowing 2+2 in Mathemathics.
Why🇭🇺✌🏻...?
Really liked this! Not sure I would do as well. Proud of you guys, You are the pride of our community!
You two are too adorable!
Alastair…. I’m so afraid to do this…had me laughing 😂. So much fun!!!!!!
I’m surprised that you have even heard of the Finger Lakes. They are in Western/Upstate New York and not that well known. However the region has a lot of vineyards surprisingly.
I'm a little concerned that a West Point graduate and an officer in our armed forces had never heard of Belarus. 😬
Alastair, that's a good pronouncation of Liechtenstein !
I love how Zach has a lot of 'Trivia Knowledge' about the countries, whether he knows where they are located or not. And, I am impressed with Alistair's knowledge of the countries' locations.
I'm going to do this quiz in a few days after I've forgotten what I've seen. I'll say it now, I think I'd do well.
Congrats, Alastair 👍🏽 You’ll do better next time, Zach.
Do Asia next!!!!
I'll admit. Both of you probably did SOOOO much better than I would have! 😂😂😂
1st try: 98%, 1:37
2nd try: 100%, 1:21
And by the way...
US states: 100%, 1:46
💪🏼
Enjoyed the episode. Let's do Civics and then American History, which is NOT boring. "Slightly" drunk Alastair and Zach are delightful. A lot of the eastern European countries were part of the Soviet Union when I was growing up so I didn't know them. You guys did much better than you did on the States quiz. Love you guys. Hope to see you again soon.
"Ay dios mío" jajajjajaja LOVE IT!
i need you both to pronounce, in unison, "Belarus"
and what did you teach us this time, eastern europe has alot of catching up to accomplish
all right now i know how i did, fortunately i am close to Alastair's score, but i probably had the same problem as both of you, i always been confused with the Baltic states and the Balkans but through your "process of elimination" i did fairly well but it is true what i said about eastern europe, they are always forgotten
You just don't pay attention enough... we do shit and people turn a blind eye until bad shit goes down.
"That's where Marie-Antoinette was from" 😂
You guys should try countries of Africa
Awwwweee. Luv u guys! Y’all are so adorable. #couplegoals 😍
I love history & geography, keep doing videos like this, you get people, hopefully our fellow American interested as well are constantly accused of having no knowledge of the world.
Zach, I was really impressed with your knowledge of Europe, you did well, some of the smaller countries & East European countries are hard. I mean u didn't study this like Alstair did it school.
Alastair, I do not watch the Kardashians, but just by the last name, I could tell they were Armenians not Albanians. Please stop using the excuse that u were born in Mexico for your lack of knowledge of the USA States. You went to High school Herr & West Point.
Zach once again, you are the average American & you knew a lot more about Europe than most. Bravo
Alistar is so proud of himself.. ..Love it!
Alistair nailed it and congratulations and I think Zac did well since I would have probably done a bit worse but on the flip side of things being American I would have kick Ass in naming the states!
The pronunciation of Belarus by both of you...😂😂
I know that Alistair was born in Mexico but he did go to high school and university in the USA.
Alastair is so cute when he is in serious thinking mode. Can’t stop watching him.
Please do Asian next!
The ”sisters” are five :) Iceland and Denmark to, they are The North countrys, and Denmark, Sweden and Norway is even more together as Scandinavia. The reason to that at least Norway, Sweden and Finland is close friends is because they al was Sweden earlier, Sweden lost Finland to Russia and then Finland later became an own country. The exact story behind hos norway became an own country I’m not sure but it was without war 1905 anyway. I notice btw that the baltic countrys seems hard for you guys, they are Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania.
Oh guys, you are heading down a slippery slope to a pillow fight!! I can hear it now. Counselor:”How did it all start?”. Zach & Alastair: “Geography quiz “. 😅
Surprising to me how well they scored and yet both haven't heard of the Austro-Hungarian empire? I know Hungary is hard to place but it was during the end when the countries around it were already set.
it's fun :)
To be honest, I would not have done nearly as well as Alastair, and I probably would’ve been about on a level with Zach (I knew some of the ones he didn’t, but would have also gotten wrong some of the ones he got right). I would’ve beaten both of you out as far as pronouncing Belarus and Kosovo. i’m intrigued to see which continent you go with next.
Zachary and Alistair, I still enjoy watching Coffey and tequila because it normalizes gay relationships. People can see that Hugh Kaz are just normal people in a relationship and who you sleep with really doesn’t matter. It has to do with your relationship to each other the love that you have for each other, and that certainly comes through but it is great because usually American students really suck at US history, world history they really suck at and it’s a shame those who fail to remember the past are doomed to repeat repeat it. Those was a Spanish philosopher that said that I can’t remember his name. You can look up the quote, if you don’t remember the past your gym to repeat it thanks guys you’re awesome keep up the great work good content five star rating!!!!
Jeff
Can’t believe how bad I am on these.😂 well done Boys. Love hot ones, can’t wait.x
Albania is where Mother Teresa is from. The Kardashians are from Armenia.
Well prepared
Just because some of the countries are small don't make them city states. Only The Vatican and arguably Monaco could be called city states. Andorra, Liechtenstein and San Marino are bigger than just a city.
Pretty smart to know that Marie Antoinette was from Austria. Most Americans & people of world don’t know that.
From a a European guy..👏👏
Great Job.! 🎉 We should all do these tests. We need to learn about our neighbors on this planet. We’re better humans by learning about where we are and the rich cultures of our people. Africa next.
This went as they usually go but I spat out my drink when he confidently knew where Albania was
zach hunny, yall are too cute... having fun watching your brains work i got 90% in 6min
