    How can I do this with an existing STL from someone else? I don't have the original hueforge file and the model geometry section is greyed out. Thanks!

    At 0.04 layer height, printing an extra 1mm takes 25 layers. Might be worth playing around with adaptive layer height to get the first 5 layers printing at 0.2, but have to do some maths to work out the colour change layers.

    The print time must be insane. In Simplyfy3D part of the print could be in a different layer height. In Meshmixer you could extrude the back face and leave the front the same.
