That SCREAM! Anthony DOMINATED that scream. I think that might be the most on point I've ever heard him hit a big note live. I mean that was perfect.

love all these comments in response to this post....i saw a band called Blind Pilot in a sm club in nyc......cool band with a xylaphone player and stand up bass and the keyboardist also had a trumpet....and when it was appropriate for a guitar solo, the trumpeteer would send out a hauntingly beautiful elongated note ....and the crowd would go nuts, every song, every trumpet solo....was so cool

nichbuns 37 yeah later i saw interview where John said that he likes to hear others and doesn’t want to just play guitar but to hear to whole music they are making on stage . Obviously RHCP is type of band where musical connection is one of the main things and that can’t happen if u just hear yourself .
while Anthony is not always 100% in key, when he is, it's awesome. he gets so much shit as a singer, but in his best moments he really shines.
And this song isn't easy vocally.
Anthony Kiedis is a great singer.
And in the studio he sounds absolutely fabulous

I think RHCP produced some their best live performances following the release of Stadium Arcadium.
John's solos are insane that tour, I'm so excited to see him back considering he went out on top of his game imo.
When the RHCP released their first self titled cd in 1984 most critics worried the Chili's couldn't capture the essence of their live energy in a studio album.
Yeah totally agree with that, and not only the songs from Stadium but I think even older songs sounded really awesome on those tours.

Yeah there was definitely a sweet spit there. They were at the top of their game for sure in that era. If i an opportunity to fo back and see a show it would be to see them in the Stadium Arcadium days. They were godly!

this album came out in 05/06 not exactly sure. what needs to be recognized is this is probably one of the first times they have played it live. its way harder to play live. with that being said they did a great job on this. i think it was very well done on all parts
