Dear Qazi, Please advise how to properly balance shots of a cloudy weather? In my experience skintone somehow goes very magenta-ish, very hard to create color separation, and the film-print emulations simply dont look help to make it better 😭 Maybe you have some tips for grading an overcast footage in general? P.S. Ultra-respect to you and to your work you share with the world. Thank you!
I always love to experiment different colour tones within the warm colour range. But always end up in yellowish look ( somewhere like the Oppenheimer). Is there any alternative colour schemes you recommend for creating some happy mood videos
Hello Qazi. I am a newbie in this field and am very impressed with your works. Im going through all your videos in youtube before I take your master course, but before all that do you think I can get a job or a work in the US while I am located in Korea? 😅
Thanks for the video! I had a question regarding Legal and full levels. When do you use legal and when do you use full levels when grading on OLED for release on Netflix or any other streaming platform?
Hey Qazi ✌🏼 I've been trying for a long time to figure out what the perfect level of exposure of the whole image is, especially in the midtones Could you kindly explain your method for get them correctly? Thanks
I just wanted to thank you for your excellent tutorials. From time to time, I encounter issues with setting up color spaces for footage rendered in Unreal Engine 5. The footage EXR is in ACEScg color space. Could you please explain the correct settings for outputting to Rec. 709 and HDR+? Guys, please support this topic!
Tip of a lifetime by a noob FilmMaker: FOR UA-cam - always render in color space rec 709, gamma 2.4 (not 2.2), and you will see what you saw during editing will be same on UA-cam platform or any platform, without any change in black levels. 😅 Hope this helps all filmmakers and editors out there. ❤ EDIT: if you render in gama 2.2 your image gets more contrasty and black becomes very blacky and loss of color or color shifts are also seen. Sometimes UA-cam compression also makes hd videos non watchable full of blotches. But when you render in 2.4 gamma none of such problems are seen even in videos rendered in 720p 😊
Sir, please can you explain where we use halation and where we use 'glow'? It's really tough; I don't understand which will be suitable for which footage."
Glow is more like a diffusion filter and halation is the red fringe you see on film next to high contrast edges. Basically the main difference is that halation is colored and usually a much smaller blur radius. Lots of digital footage can benefit from diffusion, but halation is a bit more niche and is more a property of film.
Hi. I love your videos. I learn a lot from this chanel. I work in 3d industry. I work with animation. Product,a rchviz and abstract animations. How do you color grading 3d content? I work with EXR sequence files form 3ds max or Blender.

Super helpful as always Qazi! got your toolkit and would love a breakdown of how you develop your overall looks on different projects-thank you!!
I'll be glad when someone like you, Cullen Kelly, Darren Mostyn, etc start helping with HDR
My black levels have ruined my credit score!
Can you do a video where you grade a scene from scratch with QT, Exposure grain etc.

Hi! Nice info. I'm looking for a Grading Monitor and my budget is $5000. Which one do you recommended?
So should I create two versions with different black levels if I am publishing to UA-cam and physical media?
Dope video. Thanks for the insight
Of course

Another useful video!!!
Hi thereee, when you are working on a tv serie what are your tips or reccomendations for keeping the consistency through it all ?
What I should you in this video.
Tip of a lifetime by a noob FilmMaker:
FOR UA-cam - always render in color space rec 709, gamma 2.4 (not 2.2), and you will see what you saw during editing will be same on UA-cam platform or any platform, without any change in black levels. 😅 Hope this helps all filmmakers and editors out there. ❤

Black levels matter 😂
I not understand calibration please remake the tutorial 😢😢on the nodes
Definitely a fan - but sticker shock on that toolkit ain’t fading 😅
I thought the same when I bought my first Rolex. It gets easier. 🤗😜
@@theqazman that’s actually the single lamest response that screams either you need to flex or are flat out disconnected. ✌️
My question: Have you experimented witn UA-cam HDR, is this black levels thing still a thing in a HDR video on UA-cam
Do you have any tutorial for Final Cut Pro?

What do you (or anyone here) think about the ASUS ProArt Display PA278CV?
Listening with headphones. Would ask that you try to keep those high pitched dings a little lowered. Nearly blew out my ear drum.
