I always get goosebumps listening to this, for so many reason as well. This being his last track he produced, the fact he stopped making Dubstep and was one of the true pioneers of the trade, the fact of calling it 'I Will Never Change', the video including sets of vinyl's imitating the waves is a true sign of being old school and the fact that this has such an emotional rhythm too it. Makes me think a lot, also makes me sad but I also think about what him and Skream accomplished and the tracks they gave to us. Thank you Benga, I never got to see you live but I respect your work and yourself.
This song is a beautiful goodbye letter to all the loyal people who listened to his tunes over the years. Thank you Benga for blessing the scene with your amazing talent. May you never change, my friend...
I left the house at 4.21pm to attend a dnb rave on Margaret Island in Budapest. It was so good I met so many cool people and spread the love as much as possible. The track that was playing last on my laptop was this track... Its 7:06am and I have just arrived home. It has both opened and closed my entire night and the absolute state of vibration in this track will now stick with me for life. Thank you, Benga.
it's kinda nostalgic checking for new dubstep song and not seeing anymore benga, skream or other clasic dubstep producers anymore, they all had that original music that you could tell it's them even without knowing the song playing
Benga was a mf'n legend, the mozart of old skool dubstep and this was his lacromosa. I'll be bumping this shiz till I pass coz this shit hits your soul on another level.
Loving the vibe of this track. benga's a legend. one of the godfathers of dubstep. when i used to go out to the nights, if benga was on the dj list, you knew it was going to be the best set. Nicest bloke, never once refused by mate drunkenly shaking his hand whenever he saw him!
Now that's some good dubstep. This is the first time I've heard this song, weirdly enough, I was never much of a Benga fan. But this brings me all sorts of memories back. Some real good dubstep right here.
Its 08/06/2021 and I'm listening to this to get me hyped for end of lockdown on 21st June! My birthday is on the 20th. I will never stop listening to this BANGGGGING TUNE
Is it just me that loves to listen to the OLD dubstep tunes as well as the new.... Theres a channel on youtube which has like 900 videos of old dubstep ranging from 2000 to like 2009, i find it so cool how this genre was and how it is now and how people like benga, sound THE EXACT SAME!!! Legend in the making benga and you cant forget Skream :D
samee.. im actually working on a project to turn this type of dubstep mainstream! Im learning ableton and everything! Yall wana help?@@dutchmadness1771
your saying its gone off rail? There plenty good dubstep out there like bassnectar for example, people like the new stuff anyways and yes they may not be as much of the dubstep style you like out there but that doesn't mean you need to bitch and complain, Just listen to what you enjoy and don't listen to stuff you don't like. Simple?
People like what they like yes! However we talking about Benga here, a old dub head. Back in the days with Skream, DMZ, grimy Coki. "I Will Never Change" was ironic because he did. Still like Benga tho but thats the only reason I was here because it said Benga. I wouldn't be here bashing in my free time.
I can see how this is different from something say back in 2008, but compared to many of the songs coming out from other producers and looking at all the talent Benga has, this song is great. I find it really soothing with a super heavy bassline!
Thank you all! I’ve had so much fun sharing the dance floor with all of you when we danced our minds away to UKF BlueSpeaker and UKF Yellow Speaker ahaha much love wherever you may be! May we rinse again hard after the pandemic of 2020 ends!!
Nice to see this song got a UKF release. I had gotten a personal thank you from Benga for calling the song great back when it was only on his channel;)
I think all Dubstep is awesome! I started with underground Dubstep then it became mainstream and I still loved it! If you don't like a certain style of Dubstep then fine, just don't pee on it like C'mon that's child-ish
I just don't like the Dubstep, that imitiates Zomboy's sound and the ones who always use a Trap intro. Riddim sometimes gets boring, too, but the rest is good for me. What are your favs?
+Patriotis I like the idea of Melodic Dubstep, but recently I've just been coming across Melodic Dubstep, that sounds all alike. I mean always having just notes playing and stoping is boring. I'd like to see more sound experiments like Koven does or Kito and Reija Lee!
It's 2024. You just came home from work, you're checking the upcoming show line ups. Benga b2b skream is happening again. requake is doing shows and mala is still going strong, Life is good
Very true. Calm dubstep can be something listened to individually, while more high pitched dubstep like Feed Me, Eptic, ETC. can be played at raves, parties, etc.
+Edward Okarimia I got a dance from a red, feminine, smoke deity stripper who told me she loved me and that I wasn't alone. So no, not at all. Honestly didn't even hear much of the music at all
+Edward Okarimia not that I'm advocating it, but dmt extractions are not that difficult to my understanding and you can buy root bark online without hassle, since it's not illegal to buy it or have the bark in your possession, so long as you plan on using it to make dye for your t-shirt company or something. research, my good man, research the fuck out of it. shroomery and reddit are excellent resources
Whether you like him or not, he is THE most popular artist and you cannot deny that. I never said he is the best, but he is the most popular. Shit does not get you that far in the production world. His stuff is good.
This is just a theory, but I think that Benga retired to not actually focus on his family like he said, but because he felt his fans were starting to hate him ever since he went commercial with VEVO. They called him a "sell out" and such. So he didn't want to "live long enough to be the villain" sort of speak. He preferred to "die a hero". The family and marriage excuse was just a cover up. RIP Benga.
TheEggsonlegs He's right though. Skream's made an admirable attempt at staying relevant with his disco and house stuff, but both of their dubstep output has been completely forgettable since about 2009
+Google It yeah! Besides, I he released a dubstep track called "lythium", but he took it down because it was part of an upcoming album that he's working on.
well dubstep actually means something. the "dub" aspect has been lost and the 2-step garage acpect is barely still there so yes you could call it pototostep but it would be a new genre then

well i'm a high school student that teaches himself musical theory and production...i'm not a child(unless you consider a teenager to be a child)...i'm a virgin, but that's just because my mom raised me to be a gentleman...and i'm pretty damn frustrated with school, chemistry AP and physics AP are a pain in the ass
Like now I honestly feel bad Mike. And thank you for such a thorough answer. I don't really hang out much on youtube but when I read comments I marvel many times. Still I imagine only a few people try to educate themselves in musical disciplines ... otherwise it wouldn't be such an endless fight
I dont understand why there are so many dislikes. The song has a very happy vibe to it, and to be honest is much better than "mainstream" or "generic" dubstep.
My numbers are from facebook likes. It's enough to get the point across. This is what Sonny should be doing because he loves the music, loves making it, he owns a label, he's making a hell of a lot more money off this than in FFTL, he likes not dealing with other people to make a song (said in an interview), he's not destroying his vocal chords singing anymore (he had to get surgery), he has so many great friends in the electronic music industry, and he's pleasing 10 million instead of 100k.
The intro is like something out of your worst nightmare, some kind of disgusting jelly-like creature squirming around.. The first time I listened to this song walking in the pitch black, water dripped down from my eyes. Surreal experience.
Love this track! Last 1 he ever produced before he retired, this is what u call original dubstep, not the mainstream shit u hear nowadays, benga was my inspiration to start producing...
Dubstep was founded in the late 90s with a mix of 2 step garage and the dubs from reggae (bass) it started to get popular in a club in England called forward where caspa and skream would play because of that dubstep was formally known as foward because they never heard anything like it
i think he got popular because he understood that not everyone could listen to songs that used sub bass in thier music. so he relied more on mid range sounds and created fast paced dynamic songs that could hold the attention of its listeners. Meanwhile 0:15 is in my ear with headphones 😂😂😂

I miss Benga, I miss Skream
We all do bud.
its sad times with the music we got now
daniel bowen There are still good artists around, unfortunately there are also many who have left the dub scene.
Harrison B same but they will always be in our hearts
well, at least we still have skream to rely on
Benga - One of the forefathers of the dubstep movement, truly a pioneer of UK music

it's kinda nostalgic checking for new dubstep song and not seeing anymore benga, skream or other clasic dubstep producers anymore, they all had that original music that you could tell it's them even without knowing the song playing
And it's even worse when you find LAXX and 500 Zomboy - Terror Squad copies.
Matsumoto Outo dubstep is very alive and well there are hundreds of up and comers making amazing new sounds every day. Check out mystic grizzly
didnt skream developed and changed his genre style? missed out and didnt bother to go back. benga was really good like the other founders.
some days ago i saw that reso song, he changed as hell, but in the way he did dark dubstep
@@lyth1um yeah Skream does house now

2021, still a banger
2022 as well
2023, still a Benga
2024, and still a banger
been looking for years and haven't found another tune that bangs and hits the feels like this does
It's because they have absolutely no idea how precious of a gem this is. Glad to see this made it past 1 million views also
The irony of this song. I'm not bitter or anything, honest!
u said it
Man I've been looking for this tune specifially for so long. Just stumbles upon it I'm so happy. Bless.
Old school dubstep sounds soo much better sometimes... Big up benga!!
One of my all time fav songs of this genre. Really just grateful to know it
Now that's some good dubstep. This is the first time I've heard this song, weirdly enough, I was never much of a Benga fan. But this brings me all sorts of memories back. Some real good dubstep right here.

I moved on from Dubstep, but this is the one song I will never forget. Literally the best thing i have ever heard, and always will be.
Just found this song now 🔥
good bc its a banger
wish benga and scream would start making music like this again 100% pure dubstep
This is not a song, this is a message.
This era was different in a very good way.
Holy shit . This brings back some memories .
Still Bangin in 2020,. Before the world as we know it ends
2021 homie
💪🏻💪🏻
all my homies hate skrillex

@SSarchitectful EHH "EP1" by Caspa & Rusko, feels good to have that sounds back!
Doesn't matter where the sound comes from. So long as it's dark, powerful, and motivating. All the new trap music is mostly shit.
This is the one. It's the greatest dubstep song ever made.
Nothing will ever even come near it
A true legend and pioneer... benga you will be missed
Anyone 2021? 🍃
benga stoped his music carreer about 2 months ago, i read it on his FB page. quite a shame though, he makes good music ;-(
I'd say it was about fucking time, he hasn't made properly good music since about 2008. This shit is terrible.
***** we all have our own taste :-)

he stoped his producing as well, he said it himself on facebook
He stopped dubstep, It was on one of his interviews

benga hasnt changed his style hes alwaysmaking solid dubstep and theres nothing and noone that will make him change
that sound at the beginning...

Reminds me a lot of Forefather
Dubstep I love that band
Jimmy Rustler Your comment made me lol, good job.
Obvious troll obvious?
Not even a troll, just making a funny.
Maybe what he's not changing is the fact that he's making whatever style of music he pleases. :]
The name of the song kinda makes me sad, because benga changed...
+Google It yeah! Besides, I he released a dubstep track called "lythium", but he took it down because it was part of an upcoming album that he's working on.
Smoking to this song does things to your brain
Dubstep wasn’t about massive drops, it didn’t need it. It was enjoyed with just only that 2-step beat, subs, and the LFO wobble
Forever love, and forever luck and prosperity. I could wish nothing else for benga.
well dubstep actually means something. the "dub" aspect has been lost and the 2-step garage acpect is barely still there so yes you could call it pototostep but it would be a new genre then
hmmmm the "two"(which dub stands for) aspect has been lost?...ehh...i don't get it.
Gordon Pickett No. 2step garage is a old type of drum based style from south london back in the late 90s. Dub is a heavy very bass-y type of reggae from the 70s.
who gives a fuk lets jus enjoy the fucking music
The garage aspect seems to be still there. If you listen to garage percussion, you can "hear" dubstep's hi-hat patterns in there.
yeah but the original shuffle of dubstep was not like 2step. the hihat seems to just be a small part of what is left of the originals
Uk stand up

I know right?! Maybe because its e-tards who just like shitty brostep and mainstream boring big room house
It's because when they see a dubstep track they start thinking about skrillex. And his music kinda sucks. This one i badass.

Amazing! i remember i would always listen to this song during the summer! This is probably one of my favorites by Benga! :)
The Beauty Of Dubstep Is Keeping It Real From Where It First Started. The Wobwob baby
Wish i could give this infinite likes...
The intro is like something out of your worst nightmare, some kind of disgusting jelly-like creature squirming around.. The first time I listened to this song walking in the pitch black, water dripped down from my eyes. Surreal experience.
this is constantly feeling me with memories from the past
Respect this guy for sticking to dubstep roots and not being a sell-out.
