hazelidgal63 I only use the wire as stucture.
If you want to stick the clay to the wire, you can use fimo liquid... It could help ;)

I hope sometime this fall you may do an American Indian, a pilgrim, or a Turkey. :) I remember as a child there were so many decorations after Halloween for Thanksgiving but really don't see that much these days. :( It jumps straight to Christmas now after Halloween.

sandrartes Yeah I was taught growing up that Thanksgiving started because the Native Americans shared their food with the Pilgrims. I found this online:
"The first Thanksgiving was celebrated between the Pilgrims and the Indians in 1621.That first feast was a three day affair. Life for the early settlers was difficult. The fall harvest was time for celebration. It was also a time of prayer, thanking God for a good crop. The Pilgrims and the Indians created a huge feast including a wide variety of animals and fowl, as well as fruits and vegetables from the fall harvest. This early celebration was the start of today's Thanksgiving celebration."
I am half Native American and also British, Irish, and Scottish. So I guess I am half Indian and half Pilgrim. :P *chuckle*

I use baby wipes to clean my hands (all the time!!), before I touch the clay, when I change color,... I also use them to clean eventual dust particles.
To avoid finger prints I use the smoothest parts of my and and fingers and I touch the pieces very gently. Sometimes baby wipes can also help ;)
