Hey, I think your current hair loss might me a good sign that the oil is actually working. Your stimulated hair follicle is producing a new stronger hair, which is pushing out the old one. At least this is what happens with Rogaine in the first few weeks. Hope that helps!

This bullshit needs to stop. There no scientific proof that hair loss = new hair coming. In fact the exact opposite might hold true; hair loss body signaling something's not right in the system.

Fariz Adnan minoxidil causes this effect because it speeds up the life cycle of the hair follicle so it reaches the telegenic phase quicker so for a few weeks there’s more hair fallout, but then after you should see more consistent hair growth

The trick is to put it on your scalp, not your hair. It does take some time for it to thicken your hair and you'll first see it around your edges. I think a lot of people give up too soon on it. Also, diatomaceous earth can help thicken your hair. Linoleic acid helps hair growth, and the richest source of it is Safflower oil. I mix my castor oil 50/50 with safflower oil to thin it, and put it on with a shower cap either for a couple of hours, or overnight. My hair falls out due to stress and lupus. It really does work to regrow my hair.

Hair loss is closely linked to stress. Whenever I go through a stressful time, I have a lot of baby hair coming out after about 2 months. And yes, protein. I have been a vegetarian for 11 years and whenever I get slack on protein, it results in hair loss. I am going to start applying oil from tonight as I feel quite inspired by your results.

Definitely this. This is very common knowledge among curly haired people who also don't wash their hair as often. Also, thick oils can make your fallen hairs stick in your hair more so they don't come out until you wash. But get more protein! Biotin is really important to keeping hair fall low.

    • @caityblue953
      @caityblue953 4 роки тому +11

everything is awesome this is because washing your hair too often dries out your scalp which can cause excessive hair loss, so you lose more hair every day.
Think of what she’s experiencing like running your sweeper. If you do it every day and empty it out each time you’re not going to see a lot of dirt in the collector, but if you wait a week or two before you run the sweeper you’re going to see a lot more

  • @LS-qs9rb

Regarding the extra hair fall, here is a brief rundown on what can cause that - focus on the last one:
    1) stress
    2) hormonal changes
    3) nutritional deficiency
    4) metabolic waste buildup (aka oxidative stress, aka aging!)
    5) seasonal changes, as you mentioned
    6) environmental changes
    7) inferior water quality (unfiltered, mineral deposits, etc.)
    8) low quality hair products
    9) _healthier tissue replacing old tissue_ : if your body has healthier material to work with than was previously available to produce new cells, it can accelerate turnover and cause shedding of nearly every type of tissue in the body. This is commonly labeled as a “detox symptom,” which is only half of the story. One of the core principles of biology is that all organisms strive for optimal energy-efficiency and will not replace old cells outside of the typical lifecycle for that tissue unless there’s a good reason to do so; in this case, providing superior nutrients to the hair, scalp, and blood (via absorption) could improve the structural quality of your hair protein, keratin, enough that your body would then begin to shed more hair from the follicle to replace it with better quality protein (aka hair strands).
Side note, the red light therapy is exceptional; that’s an amazing gift to have received!
So excited for your results! Can’t wait to see an update.

I’m south Asian so we use a lot of different oils and ingredients to our hair. I’ve lost a lot of hair recently and tried onion juice (sounds and smells gross) and found it grew my hair quicker than any oil I used. Health is important as overall health will help the hair regrow.

Important! You should not use rosemary oil directly on your skin undiluted. You need to treat essential oils as medicine. There are known side effects of using to much essential oils and it can be dangerous. Why many plants has side effects when derrived as essential oils are because they have hundreds of times higher concentrations of substances than you would find in their normal form. Rosemary oil are not the most studied essential oil on side effects or long term damage when using it so it's good to take precaution. In studies I have seen they use about 2%, 5% or 10% of rosemary oil applied to the skin. Using higher concentration of annything doesn't always mean that you will get more benneficial effects, many times the benneficial effects will not increase after a certain amount concentration and instead increase the side effects. For example using more minoxidil than recommended wont give you more hair it will instead just increase the side effects.
if you you have 19 drops of a carrier oil + 1 drop of rosemary oil it's a 5% concentration of rosemary oil. and 9 drops of carrier oil + 1 drop of rosemary oil is a 10% concentration. I have tested higher concentrations like 5 drops of carrier oil + 1-2 drops of rosemary oil (17%-33%) and for now, my skin doesn't seem react by those concentrations but I would not recommend it now when there probably are no studies on concentrations like that, probably good to talk with your doctor about it. Why I use higher concentrations are because I don't want to put the rosemary oil in my carrier oil bottle if I want to use the carrier oil for something else. Concentration are not the only thing, it's also about the quantity you use and with higher concentrations you will probably get more rosemary oil on the skin.

The trick to getting volume for fine hair is to 1) put some styling gel in your washed hair, 2) blow it dry until it is almost dry and 3) put it in big curlers (or a big pony tail on top) until it dries completely. You can just put the curlers on the top line if you just want the crown lifted. But when I do this, it will stay lifted for several days.

Women shed most in August. You're hair looks way denser and you're not losing much at all in the wash, by the sound of it. Normal hair shed is 50-150 daily. It can be interesting to check your iron numbers (iron stores and blood iron), as most women don't know it takes stores of around 60-80 for healthy growth.

In Ayurveda, losing hair when you do something good, is a release of the weakness, so it's just weak hair leaving so new stronger hair can grow in their place, so it's all good 😊 nothing wrong happening, keep going with the castor oil, it gets very strong as you go.

  • @LitcheTheArsm
    @LitcheTheArsm 4 роки тому +4

My guess is. If you wash your hair less regularly then you would lose more hair when you DO. Washing does dislodge the strands that are dead but maybe before they were so few the got rinsed away rather than being caught in your hands? So let's say your average was 20 strands/day. And you washed it every other day. You'd lose 40 strands per hairwash. If you then wash it every third (60) or fourth, (80), that's significantly more per hairwash, but the same total. So the likelihood of grabbing them goes up but the overall loss would be the same.
It could also be that the nutrients and massage is awakening your dormant hair follicles so the ones that were dead (had stopped growing the hairstrand but it is still attached) will have a quicker "wake up" rate. So the non growing hair will drop and the follicle it belonged to will quickly grow new hair.

Depending on what you choose to wash your hair with next, you might want to keep your Head and Shoulders around. Curly hair people (who I bring up because they tend to focus on ingredients and hair routines more than most people) often "clarify" with a harsher shampoo once a month or so to knock out scalp build up, so it could be useful to have on hand to get your scalp really clean every now and then. Just be careful to focus it on your scalp and not the midshaft or hair ends. Scalp build up can lead to more hair fall, by the way, though I doubt that's the reason you've seen more hair coming out in the shower - just washing your hair less can mean you see more hairs every time you do.

I’ve gone through that before and was experiencing it a couple weeks ago when I came across Dr. Davis’ video. I wasn’t even looking for anything, and it was just there on my YT feed. (Dr. Davis is the cardiologist who wrote Wheat Belly). At the time I was not concerned anyway because I, too, noticed a lot of baby hairs. I’m not saying that’s your situation, but if your scalp is feeling better overall, without the itching and inflammation, it could just be a healthy reaction. I hope so.

Guys... there's a big difference between essential oil and oil! Essential oils are produced with the help of alcohol and even though most of it probably dissolves in the heating process, some of it is most likely left and also the end product is ultra concentrated (it takes about 8000 rose flowers to make 5 ml of oil). Alcohol has a drying effect and it's highly recommenced to mix it with base oil! So it's a lot better idea to mix it with that castor oil.

it could be the castor oi but in a good way, bc the oil moisturizes the scalps skin, so its stopping the dead skin from holding onto that hair thats also just dead. also how to check if that hair is dead, just look closely at the ends of the hair, if it goes weird lighter color, it died even the melanin stopped being made into it at some point but for some reason stopped earlier, if the end has a weird thick clump at the end thats also the same as your hair color, it also died and the capped it self off to fall out to also renew

Girl, you need more protein, plant base is not enough, you need eggs meats and bone broth. Hair growth is internal. No matter what you do on the exterior, without abundance of protein and collagen it just has no substance to draw from. And oh yeah, drink lots of water too! I’m a TCM practitioner and nutritionist whose had the same problem, I was plant based and my hair was falling out like crazy and thinning, so I finally gave in and started to make sure I consume enough protein and high healthy fats with minimal to no grains and low carb and started taking bone brother that’s when it stopped falling out. Eggs are the most complete source of protein, and the easiest way to get your daily protein, eating 1 to 2 eggs per day and meat proteins with lots vegetables and combine with the use of castor oil to get best results. Bone broth bone broth BONE BROTH!!!Also moderate exercise and reduce stress, as stress can also make hair fall out 😬

Use the Caster oil less. I noticed that too (losing more hair in the shower) when I use too much oil. Caster oil is really a heavy oil so mixing it with maybe apple vinegar and having a water spray to have some wet hair first helps. I took a long break from using caster oil on my head. I am trying to see what I can do about my thin hair in the front which I think was the cause of using too many oils. Caster oil wasn't the only one I have used.

Well you are adding resemerry much more than what is needed.
20 drops in 50ml is a good proportion so I'll suggest you to make it more easy for your scalp.
Take castor oil with coconut or almond or seseme oil in 1:2 proportion then add 20 drops of rosemarry in 50 ml or 40 drops in 100ml
You can use and see if it cam make any difference
And wash hair twice or thrice a week is enough ( as per our Ayurvedic texts ).

Please dilute your rosemary oil with sweet almond oil because essential oils are extremely potent and are not meant to be used undiluted.
Also, almond oil gets absorbed beneath the skin, this is called a "carrier oil" because it gets absorbed into the skin. If you apply the rosemary directly, without a carrier oil, only a tiny amount will be absorbed, most of it will sit on top of the skin and eventually evaporate into the ether.
Also because essential oils are so potent, if used straight and undiluted, they can cause irritation to the skin. By using a carrier oil you're protecting your skin as well as increasing the efficacy of the essential oil, in this case, rosemary 🌱

Em T “Due to the high content of zinc pyrithione, a chemical known for drying out the skin, many have reported that by using Head and Shoulders over time has lead to the formation of a dry itchy scalp - which may ultimately worsen the effects of dandruff (ironically).” (Cited from: www.mapleholistics.com/blog/head-and-shoulders-review/#doc10)... It can be difficult to find hair products that work well with your hair. You should find products based on hair type. Is your hair straight, wavy or curly? Are the hair strands fine, medium or course? Does your hair feel thin, medium or thick? Is your scalp dry, average or oily? Also, you’re not alone, people have reported hair loss from head and shoulders (it’s not for everyone). It contains harsh detergents that dry out the scalp too much, the scalp actually needs its natural oils to heal and grow hair. Try a shampoo that is more gentle and specializes in hair regrowth.
