What would be sick now is if someone made a metal version of the plastic baseplate that the pedals bolt into. This pedal looks like it requires a lot more force than the baseplate is designed to cope with and I could easily see someone eventually breaking the mounting points... Especially because I can see some flex in the video. Great review, btw, now I'm torn between this mod and a set of clubsports.
Ive got one since many months now, and its an awesome products, very precise and its always a great fun to work with instead of potentiometer. I recommend this without any hesitation to all driver who wants the real feeling of a car braking system, hydraulic is the real deal, its cost a lot, yes, but it worth even more, i bet you you wont regret it if you get one of those someday.
This is becoming my favorite youtube channel. I've been watching all your old videos. I just wanted to ask you guys, you've had the Fanatec GT2 racing wheel for a while now, when will you have the full review up?
Excellent review. Most informative I've seen on the Perfect Pedal. I noticed what looks like spacers between the pedal faces and the arms. Are those custom? Thanks for the review!
Great vid! I race downhill mountain bikes and a high end Fox rear shock is worth £250 second hand, this is just a simple hydraulic shock chamber with a sensor! Pretty cool though!
@M3nta91 I like the CSPs better.. The Perfect pedal is a great solution for someone that doesn't have a set of CSPs and has a set of G25/27 pedals they want to enhance.
@5cachan Yes, though there is not direct support (you may have to select the dfp on the wheel selection part of the options), it will indeed work perfectly
I personally prefer the CSP over this. I tried this almost 6 months ago and there were more cons than pros on my sight. First Con: the price, just beyond good and evil. Second would be that the brake had improved but the rest felt still like a toy and out of place. I also missed the adjustability I had with my loadcell like how much preasure it takes to fully brake. AND: even if the hydr. was nice it was far to stiff and cs felt more precise (also the owner of pp came to that conclusion).
Even though you guys mentioned how much better the Clubsport pedals are than the G27's in the GT5 review, I put the G27 on my Christmas list instead of the Fanatec 911 GT2 simply because the G27's $200 cheaper. Having watched this, it seems as though the only adequate way to get rid of the brake pedal problem would be to buy this pedal, but it would drive the grand total to $550! So my questions are, is the GT2 undoubtedly the best package out there, and is it worth $500, $200 more than the G27?
@simracingtonight I noticed you said "this is the most realistic pedal I've ever used"...that said I have an important question. TOTALLY ignoring price, how does this pedal compare to the brake pedal on a set of CST's or other hardcore pedal set? I've been waiting for your review of this for a bit now, just need that last little bit. :) Kei
I dont see the problem with the cost. A frex pedal cost $2000 all up so how is $250 too much? Its also a hydraulic system, not a digital system like others available. The parts alone would cost $150, then there is R&D, maunfactoring, etc. Finally is there a crime is someone wanting to earn a few dollars by providing one of the best mods available for the G25/27? So they should do it for free? If you think its expensive, try the real world of racing, Great product and great review. Well done guys.
I've gone a little further with mine and added ABS and FFB to it :p Oh I suspect that over half the cost of the PP is the Pressure to resistance sensor. They AINT cheap
@simracingtonight I noticed you said this is "the most realistic pedal i've ever used"...that said. Totally ignoring price, how does this brake pedal compare to say a CST or any other supreme pedal set? Depending on what you say I just might buy this, I've been waiting for your review for a bit now. :) Kei
At that price I would rather get me self a set of Club Sports, the brake might be only loadcell but it's an all-around upgrade. For a really cheap brake upgrade on a G25/27 I would go for that AP Electrix load sensor mod.
i dont really get what's the use of the pedal, the company explains that it's all about breaking preassure... but correct me if i am wrong, but doesn't the pressure rise when the pedal is pushed further? i mean i can't break with more pressure without pushing the pedal further ?!? so for each pressure there is a point where that pressure is reached, then in my oppinion it's irrelevant if u messure the point or the pressure, am i wrong? i think the pedal just feels different
Hey SRT guys, I know this is slightly unrelated to the mod, but it is pedal related. for £50 (around 65 bucks) what would you say would be the best mod to improve braking and preferably clutch movement for the G27...they are inverted.
How does this brake pedal compare to newer systems in todays market such as the huesinkvelds and ARC carbons brake pedal? Or even the fanatec clubsports brake pedal?
You guys said $200, but it's $249 plus $30 core. So no matter what you lay down $280 for them. Too much. I bought the Sim-Seat SR-2 Platinum after your review and like it though. Thanks or that. I just need to mod it slightly to stiffen up the wheel mount. Shims completely fix the pedal mount flex.
@thecubanratio1 Could you please tell us why you dind't bought the GT3 RS V2?! It's the same as the GT2 just without the XBox 360 compatibility and costs 320€ WITH the CSP.
any install help with the bodnar cable. When I plug the cable in after recalibrating the pedals the brake always runs on just a small ammount, but more than enough to slow the car. Really odd problem. right now I dont have the cable and it works fine.
One of the major factors that is not mentioned, is simply the time it takes to get your hands on it. I am waiting now for almost a Month. This is a major CON. I paid through PAYPAL and it took only a few seconds. A nice confirmation e-mail showed in my inbox with the purchase confirmation and that I would be notified when it shipped with tracking information. Here is what I believe, the pedal is not just MADE when you order, you'll probably have wait until the machine shop has time to do it. Nowhere on their order page does it state that you should allow 12 to 24 weeks for delivery as it was many moons ago. This is unacceptable, if there was a statement like that, I would have looked for a different source or dropped the order completely, which I am considering right now. I can use this money towards Fanatec Club Sport Pedals and probably would have them next week.
is there a more affordable option out there now? All I wanted out of the logitech steering wheel/pedal/shifter set was part to base a more realistic inclosed racing rig set up with a full dash, two seats, realistic feeling clutch/brake/gas and steering column/wheel...I wonder if something like that would also work for the feeling of a hydraulic clutch? (I prefer the feeling of cable in real life) Anybody have any ideas? I want to make this happen as my wife is on board with the idea, she says we haven't done a project in a long time....but we have a VERY small budget and have to get some parts one at a time.
I know this would never be the same as the perfect pedal. But what do you guys think of this mod? ua-cam.com/video/i9GlhNmOxDQ/v-deo.html Could it harm longjevity of the plastic piston? Would even feel any better?
It just doesn't make since as the perfect pedal is 40 bucks more then the hole dam g27 cost me and thats the diy price! Add the price of the perfect pedal to the g27 and ya got 490 bucks or get it from them and your talking $625. Why not just get a better wheel set? Someone needs to cut in on these guys cause id pay 110/125 for the perfect pedal and not a penny more. Guess ill be building my own.
@lilbro209 Im not going to go through more of the forums to find more cause it would take up my whole day. The 3rd post down on that thread says why he doesnt like it and it seems to be what all the post ive seen say.
I'm betting the only reason you gave this a 9 out of 10 if because you didn't pay for it out of your own pocket. Are you seriously saying that is worth buying?
This looks cool, BUT BUT BUT I already see ppl on the iracing forums who bought theses selling em cause they dont like em, makes it a lil scary for me to spend money on if no1 is liking the, :/
@ELITEnoOBno2 The only people I think who need this pedal is the DWC road drivers otherwise yes the g25/7 wheels r perfectly fine, screw 250 right? lol
thanks for that I'll just fit the perfect pedal in the g29 and see what happens, currently I'm using the g25 and I was pretty sure there not compatible with the g27 and g29 wheels.
Sorry but that is just way too high for me. The only reason it costs that much is because there are people who dont care how much they over pay for something. If anyone has an Idea on how much something like this costs to manufacture please post.
@ComicPenius why would you spend that much on sim racing stuff to play an arcadish game like GT5? boggles my mind, just fork the money over for iRacing 100% content if you've got that kind of dough to spend
LOL!!! $250 for the D.I.Y. kit?! ARE YOU KIDDING ME??? An ENTIRE Fanatec ClubSport Pedals V2 set is the SAME price and comes with not only a load cell brake BUT a MUCH better clutch and accelerator pedal AND FULL ALUMINUM CONSTRUCTION. Look, I'm not saying the "Perfect Pedal" isn't good or anything...just saying that for what it is the price is outrageous. If someone has $250 for a brake mod they most likely wouldn't be using a cheaper plastic Logitech wheel to begin with.
no offence to people who bought this but i cant see why anyone would pay 250$ for one pedal. Even if it does shave off your lap times you should remember that it is still a video game and not real life.
Well that would be good for any1 who spends 4hrs+ daily sim racing on iracing, rfactor, live for speed, myabe gt5... and not the novice players only those who are at the top of sim racing... now that being said it is was 175 then that would be a little more reasonable and id probly think about it
I've noticed that the quality of the show has increased over time, love to see that.
What would be sick now is if someone made a metal version of the plastic baseplate that the pedals bolt into. This pedal looks like it requires a lot more force than the baseplate is designed to cope with and I could easily see someone eventually breaking the mounting points... @LakaiOrBull Haven't heard of it.. We'll have to check it out..
This is becoming my favorite youtube channel. I've been watching all your old videos. I just wanted to ask you guys, you've had the Fanatec GT2 racing wheel for a while now, when will you have the full review up?
Merry Christmas!!!

Thanks for the review!
Great vid! I race downhill mountain bikes and a high end Fox rear shock is worth £250 second hand, this is just a simple hydraulic shock chamber with a sensor! Pretty cool though!
Surprising that it actually works for the application too, though.
@M3nta91 I like the CSPs better.. The Perfect pedal is a great solution for someone that doesn't have a set of CSPs and has a set of G25/27 pedals they want to enhance.
I've tried them both and the perfect pedal feels more like an actual formula car brake system
@MrMISTIKAL Left foot braking :) Use the clutch on up shifts then use your left foot on the brake and reve match on the downshift.
@5cachan Yes, though there is not direct support (you may have to select the dfp on the wheel selection part of the options), it will indeed work perfectly
I personally prefer the CSP over this.
I tried this almost 6 months ago and there were more cons than pros on my sight.

Damn, stopped watching at hearing the price.
Looks pretty cool though!
Seriously cool! :) Looks to provide a lot better feeling to breaking, but yeah, guess it's a bit pricey... However, thanks for the info on it!
for $300 there shouldn't be any mods needed
@MetamorphomisK
It's only meant for the brake pedal. The other 2 work very well as is.
Even though you guys mentioned how much better the Clubsport pedals are than the G27's in the GT5 review, I put the G27 on my Christmas list instead of the Fanatec 911 GT2 simply because the G27's $200 cheaper. Kei
@ComicPenius It's AWESOME with GT5
Were you also using the LEO BODNAR USB Adaptor for the pedals?
I dont see the problem with the cost. A frex pedal cost $2000 all up so how is $250 too much?
Its also a hydraulic system, not a digital system like others available. Great review
Which do you guys prefer? The Clubsports pedals or the modded logitech pedals?
Ohh man, sim racing is just getting better all the time............Is anyone making realistic shifters yet???
I've gone a little further with mine and added ABS and FFB to it :p
Oh I suspect that over half the cost of the PP is the Pressure to resistance sensor. They AINT cheap
Not hard to understand why either...
Kei
How does the perfect pedal feel compared to the break from the club sport pedals?
The worst part of the G25 is the shifter. No complaints about the brake.
Yeah looks great. But 250 bucks is pretty steep for a mod. You could get a whole set of Club Sports for close to this price.
How is it compared to a ClubSport pedals? Do they do the clutch too?
At that price I would rather get me self a set of Club Sports, the brake might be only loadcell but it's an all-around upgrade.
For a really cheap brake upgrade on a G25/27 I would go for that AP Electrix load sensor mod.

If only my miss was as interested in Sim Racing as Jessica & I am.
I want that peddle, but that price is extortionate, so I might just make a set.
@GrubbyLive Tell me when you figured out this issue. I want to buy both (if the work good), the bodnar's and perfect pedal.
I just bought a PS3, GT5, DFGT for Christmas tomorrow
@JeffJordan24 what do u mean all 3 pedals?
4 pros, 2 cons. the pros outweigh the cons so therefore i'm buying it .
How does this brake pedal compare to newer systems in todays market such as the huesinkvelds and ARC carbons brake pedal? Or even the fanatec clubsports brake pedal?
Got my pedal to work with the USB adaptor now.
The force needed will cause the palstic of the casing to break/wear i imagine
I'm so in love with the girl on here its sick..lol
@thecubanratio1
Could you please tell us why you dind't bought the GT3 RS V2?!
It's the same as the GT2 just without the XBox 360 compatibility and costs 320€ WITH the CSP.
What do you guys think of the CSR elite pedals w/ the inversion kit vs the perfect pedal?
any install help with the bodnar cable. When I plug the cable in after recalibrating the pedals the brake always runs on just a small ammount, but more than enough to slow the car. Really odd problem. right now I dont have the cable and it works fine.
hi guys,a question:
is it worth to sell my csp pedals for going back to g27 ones plus the PP mod?
or is it better to buy CSP's tuning kit?
@MasterShake1242 for the price definitely the club sport but like he said. if u want the most realistic braking, the logitech with the modded brake,
Are those still available some where?
How and where can I buy it? I'm from Brazil
"Modification" yeah all right....That's a whole REPLACEMENT
One of the major factors that is not mentioned, is simply the time it takes to get your hands on it.

its rubbish, not consistent travel
kev brookes
Have u tried it?
Can you still buy this?
Is this mod still available, if yes where?
Support seems to be down.
It just doesn't make since as the perfect pedal is 40 bucks more then the hole dam g27 cost me and thats the diy price! For the game/sim rfactor, would this mod work as I am unaware of the ability to set the brake travel in the controls
@lilbro209 Im not going to go through more of the forums to find more cause it would take up my whole day. The 3rd post down on that thread says why he doesnt like it and it seems to be what all the post ive seen say.
What the name of this alpinestar shoes he using?
Yes i have
would this work with DFGT?
I don't even have a wheel yet that's a crazy price
will this work for the g920 ?
I'm betting the only reason you gave this a 9 out of 10 if because you didn't pay for it out of your own pocket. Are you seriously saying that is worth buying?
2:20, what shifter is that?

You can get some clubsport pedals for that much...
@ELITEnoOBno2 The only people I think who need this pedal is the DWC road drivers otherwise yes the g25/7 wheels r perfectly fine, screw 250 right? lol
@Petrucciisgod123 Thanks for the advice man, I'll probably go ahead and do that myself...nice username by the way.
My G27 already cost as much as my 89 Honda Accord. There is no way I am paying that much for that.....
Anyone know what fluid it uses? I need to refill mine
So it leaks?
Ever considered selling you PP?
does anyone no if this pedal can be fitted in the g29 pedals?
I emailed Perfect Pedal with this question but never received a reply..
thanks
The g27 pedals are compatible with the g29 wheel so I am guessing that you can do that.
thanks for that I'll just fit the perfect pedal in the g29 and see what happens, currently I'm using the g25 and I was pretty sure there not compatible with the g27 and g29 wheels.
@@krispela9626 were you ever able to buy one from their site? Just wanted to know.
@@vitaminzeth3742 I ended up buying 1 second hand, it's been perfect and it's been going for over 8 years. I use it on g25 pedals ..
$250? That's overpriced.
You could buy a real set of pedals from a real car for that price lol
***** That's true. But you need reliability if you depend on your life on the pedals to break or accelerate and not fail.
For $150 more, you can get the Fanatec pedal set… The price would have to drop to $75 before I would consider this mod…
so you need to buy 3?! $250 x 3 = $ 750 ?!
You have to be nuts to buy a 250 piece of metal so it can give you the "Real feel" of a car braking system.
Sorry but that is just way too high for me. The only reason it costs that much is because there are people who dont care how much they over pay for something. If anyone has an Idea on how much something like this costs to manufacture please post.
@ComicPenius why would you spend that much on sim racing stuff to play an arcadish game like GT5? boggles my mind, just fork the money over for iRacing 100% content if you've got that kind of dough to spend
can used G27 in ps3 for Gran Turismo 5
looks awesome but too expensive... 250$ are you serious? :/
not really the "Perfect Pedal" if it has cons...Merry Christmas to all fellow race fans!
Why are you using two legs driving auto??????????
Especially when the whole set (wheel + pedals + shifter) is about $300...
@lilbro209 thanks :S...
Logical Reason
the logitech G 25 and up wheels are stainless steel and leather. What crap. The only crap is its H pattern shifter
For $200 you can't go wrong with fanatec's clubsport pedals!!!!!
no offence to people who bought this but i cant see why anyone would pay 250$ for one pedal. Even if it does shave off your lap times you should remember that it is still a video game and not real life.
Well that would be good for any1 who spends 4hrs+ daily sim racing on iracing, rfactor, live for speed, myabe gt5... and not the novice players only those who are at the top of sim racing... now that being said it is was 175 then that would be a little more reasonable and id probly think about it
am I the only one annoyed by the guy using the accelerator with his right foot and the brake with the left one?
Its pretty common in real racing, especially on cars that don't have a foot operated clutch.
Yes
look great , but so expensive :p
I wish I had like infinite money...
$250 I'd rather take my car out to a track day for that cost.
@thecubanratio1
Get a G27, sell the pedals, and buy some Clubsports. I sold my G27 pedals for like... 120 bucks.
I rather save up my $250 for my car modification or services fee.
would be cool if it wernt 200 bucks
$300 dollars for outside customers :(
Or just get a set of Clubsport pedals for 200..... This doesn't seem worth it at all.
more of a commercial than review...
