I have an 1800 “Low 8”, Bust dollar. Unfortunately it’s holed which made it affordable. I don’t particularly like “Details” coins, but sometimes it’s the best way to get high end pieces.
The "scratches" on the first coin were from deep gouges on the die that struck it. Notice how they are raised up like the devices and not cut into the coin.
All those raw coins look like they have been cleaned, they would most likely not make it into anything other than a details grade holder. With that said none of those coins should be sold raw they should all be submitted authenticated and graded. The prices that you guys are asking for those coins are not realistic for raw coins especially if they've been cleaned. There's nothing wrong with buying a cleaned bust dollar as these things are extremely expensive however that has to be reflected in the price you're asking.
@@bobbiemills4159 Yes I have the grey sheet prices . Let me challenge you , grade each of the raw coins , do not take into effect any cleanings. Then I will give you my grades which naturally based on a photo will not be as accurate as if I had the coin in hand. If a coin is cleaned the retail price should be reflected by at least 3 levels lower. These are rare coins , however they are raw. You usually cant sell raw coins and expect to get greysheet prices unless the coins are 100 % original and even then you may not get it because knowledgeable collectors don't want to take the risk of an ungraded coin .
@ You are confused I guess everything I sell should be wholesale by the way greysheet has a wholesale…. They also have a retail for business who actually own a brick and mortar and not go to shows or shops and claim to be a dealer. The gentleman I got these from was #4 in the coin world for most influenced coin knowledge and I also bought some of these from him. This isn’t the same as grading a Morgan but I appreciate your thoughts….

One of the coolest US coins ever minted. Thanks for showing us.
I agree! I love these coins too!

Was just there today! Happy new year and thanks for sharing!
Draped bust dollar is a gorgeous coin!
Always enjoy watching, thank you.
They were all about women having nice hair and sweet honkers back then-
America really needs a revival of old values.
Wow, outta my price range but beautiful coins, thank you for sharing.
Beautiful coins. The edge lettering is interesting to see on coins this old. Pretty high tech for late 18th century coinage.
Yes, it was a big leap forward for coin production technology!
All above my means.
The price premium for these early dollars versus the equivalent early halves has always been way too much for me.
Don’t see those very often. Very nice. Ty.
They are asking crazy numbers for those. But do Love those early Americana coinages
Always liked them but I have never owned one.

There is one large scratch that is definitely cut into the coin right below unum .
@@silvertrek357 it’s a scratch
Amazing

The condition does reflect my price. Do you have greysheet ? This is a video of raw coins I’m very good at grading then lowering it atleast 1 grade.

Anacs one looks like possible cancelled dies, the others have been cleaned and buffed whizzed long ago they are too bright for the condition.
