Because people found innocent by insanity plea actually go to an insane asylum for the rest of their life which is infinitely worse than prison because they don't even treat the inmates like they're human, because let's be honest the patients aren't anymore
      Edit: Didn't realize this was in Canada, things might be different there. That's fucked up if this is true though, no man who possesses no emotion whatsoever while literally stabbing a random innocent man repeatedly and cutting his head off should be able to roam freely.

      Not really. These questions get sound bites that can then be used to add colour to a written article/write-up. "There was blood everywhere, blood squirting - the floor of the bus is covered in blood".
      As a journalist, you can't describe the scene this way without someone/something corroborating it - you'd just be guessing otherwise. The interview just happened to make it unedited on UA-cam because it's horrific - lots of the time these questions don't get video coverage but potentially are later used in written coverage/for use in an anchor's teleprompter.

As of 2017 he was granted independent living rights. This man is walking around free without any restrictions whatsoever having served zero prison time. No, this isn’t a rumor.

      @The Venomous
      Worse (adjective) -
      1. of poorer quality or lower standard; less good or desirable.
      2. more ill or unhappy.
      (Adverb)
      - less well or skillfully
      (Noun)
      - a more serious or unpleasant event or situation.
      Yes, someone was decapitated. If not for the actions of a few of the men involved, multiple people could have lost their lives, or at the very least have been injured. That would have been "a more serious or unpleasant event or situation". It's a miracle more people didn't get hurt, so yes it easily could have been far worse. You can't compare something to itself genius, that's redundant. It's like saying "chocolate tastes worse than chocolate" which is nonsense.

    • @ds90seph
      @ds90seph 3 роки тому +7

      @The Venomous Look I know what you're trying to say, but saying "if 2 or more people had gotten killed it would have been the same result" makes no sense. 2 deaths are inherently worse than 1 death no matter what, and the result is measurably worse by exactly that - a life. If it was someone in your family it would make a huge difference to you, so please don't equate a single murder to multiple murders. If everyone on the bus had been killed, for example, then it couldn't have been much worse than that could it? 1/37 vs 2/37 or 37/37.

    I understand this incident needed to be covered, but I am suffering from severe PTSD for 4 decades, and during my countless years if being in treatment for it I learned one of the worst thing one can do is asking the affected for such details. Putting it in words, mentally again living through it, not long after it happened, before your mind not even remotely had time to process any of it, only burns the images seen and emotions felt into your brain even more.
    This guy appears to be so solid, kind and brave. I hate this so much for him, nobody should ever witness something that unbelievably dreadful and terrifying in their life.
    Alone watching this gave me cold sweat, a tight throat and a movement freeze. My heart goes out to this man and everyone else who has to live with what they had to see. And if course the victim’s family. I cannot even fathom losing your loved one this way.

    What scares me the most is that the victim , a young man called Tim, was oblivious that he was going to die in such a horrific way.. he had no idea that something so random and brutal was going to end him one day without warning. It could happen to anyone.. it seems that some of us really are born to suffer..born to die..
