When I was in my very early teens my dad used to arrange boat fishing trips at various venues for him and his workmates...he worked at Fords...and I often used to accompany him. One such venue was Littlehampton where we fished for black bream. Loved catching them as they put up quite a scrap for their size and, like you say, they're very tasty. Haven't caught any since and never from the shore. Perhaps one day I can remedy that. Looks like a nice venue. Somewhat surprised there weren't more people present fishing or just enjoying themselves. Another cracking video. I have been watching your videos from the beginning and I still can't get over how brilliantly they are edited and put together. You must put in an awful lot of work. Going off piste, I took the bull by the horns and fished Sandwich Bay last night (9th / 10th October). A very busy night indeed! 30 plus whiting (some of decent size), 10 or so dog fish (again some of decent size), a thornback ray (3 or 4 pounds), 3 small codling (between a pound and 1½ lbs) in excellent condition…bodes well for the future hopefully...and a 32 centimetre dab. Almost forgot…whilst setting up I picked up my tackle box to move it and pulled a muscle (hopefully nothing worse than that) between my neck and shoulder which made fishing (and driving home to Essex afterwards) a somewhat painful experience! Take care and cheers. Ken
Well done at Sandwich Bay Ken - I've fished it quite a bit in the past and its on my radar to cover, when I can find the right moment. There are plenty of venues where black bream turn up and this has been a good year for them with larger ones showing up.
Yes - a change in the weather, water stirred up more and different species appear, whilst others disappear - however I think I did lose a bream in the second session.
Cracking video Rod, great to see some Bream being caught. Shame about the eel messing up your Sheppey Rig, had something similar last week! Thanks for a great watch, tight lines.
Beautiful location for this session Rod. How does it fish winter time? Didn't snag up so assuming it's relatively clean ground. Enjoyable watching as always. Chris.
Top video. All so well explained and demonstrated with some stunning bream. What's not to like.
Much appreciated Tony!
Look so peaceful spot I marked it down thank you.
Yes - bit of a walk though.

Nice to see lots of fish!
Thanks John 👍
Hello.. Is it possible to over night stay there in a tent for a long weekend?... Regards Mick...
Get some nice stingrays along that stretch but weed can get horrendous that time off year
Yes - may have a go for them sometime.
👍👍👍👍🎣 Thanks Mick
No problem 👍

Fairly clean ground, but plenty of weed; especially on the ebb. Not fished here in winter - maybe someone local who's watched this video might know?
That’s more like it - personally there the best eating fish in the sea -caught a 3 lb specimen off Kingmere Rocks Littlehampton in the spring.
I agree - I prefer bream to bass for eating.
mick you must stop missing bites....try .08 to size 20..that'll fix it🤣
Quite often I'll use size 12 hooks to 8lb flourocarbon for black bream - but there's too much week here for that really.
