I LOVE this in drop-D. There's a beautiful arrangement on (Dakota Dave) Hull's Victory CD from way back in the eighties. You can find it here on YT too. I think he transitions from the Bm in the B section to a D7 and then the G, which I think is neat.
Thank you! Hull's version is very nice indeed, and you are right about the D7, that's neat (he also plays an A after the Em before the Bm). Thank you for sharing.
...absolutely love this one, one of my favourite tunes.... Roberto, maybe someday you might give us a Flatpicking lesson of this tune for more advanced players? Thanks for your great work :-)
Yes! You can read my mind. Been wanting to learn a nice version of this tune for a long time. The melody alone sounds a little thin when played on the guitar as a simple melody. This arrangement is very nice.
This is beautiful once again sir! Thank you im going to learn this for sure. You make that collings have the best tone!!!! You bring out such a woody, rich sounding tone.

Personally I'm getting to a stage where my picking hand is beginning to come together, but my fretting hand still needs work, due to a lack of dexterity as well as not being always able to move cleanly enough from one position to another. Bluegrass seems to be a very clean and precise style, and I'm finding that aspect challenging.
Hello Roberto, Thank you once again for a beautiful tune, that is not too hard to learn. I should like to buy lessons from you, they are very useful indeed. But if I search for a way to buy them via your website, I 'm always told to pay in monthly instalments. This I cannot afford. Is there another way to obtain single lessons and pay for them straight away? And is it possible to send me a list of the lessons thus available? Sorry to be such a nuisance. greetings from Lieve

E comunque sia chitarra che ukulele mi dà più carica la mia fretting hand!
Sempre super gentile Martina, grazie!
