As always such a joy to watch you unload all your gorgeous pieces. Maybe you could roll a towel or foam in the 😅kiln edge so it's a bit softer for your rib area when bending in to grab things out. I'm as always amazed at how far you have come considering you have not been doing this for that long.. I'm so apprehensive about making, glazing pieces etc. The feeling of inadequacy after I see everyone else's beautiful pieces. So 2025 I will put away my sense of trying things to be perfect. Plus make my coats of glaze a bit heavier. So concentrating on heavier applications for a better outcome. Glazing is a whole new learning process. Hope your Christmas and New Year was filled with memorable happy family moments. May 2025 be full of creativity and new a wonderful pieces. Happy potting and take care.
Oh thank you so much for the sweet words. I think the best way to learn in pottery, is to just do it, and sometimes fail (a lot) and learn from it. Once you remove expectations you have for yourself you’ll enjoy it so much more. Experiment, try new things, and just have fun with it. You’ll get better and better each time you do it. It’s great to strive for perfection (that’s my goal too) but also have an understanding that pottery is what we love because it’s unique, different for every potter, and nobody will make things the way you do. Perfectly imperfect. If you ever need pointers or have questions I’m happy to help. Find me on Facebook, much easier to chat there ❤️
I have been enjoying watching your kiln openings this week and keep hoping you will show us what the ornaments look like when in the kiln hanging on the rod. I am planning to fire similar items soon but for the first time. And I wondered if you have a cookie or something underneath the hanging ornaments in case they drip glaze?
Whaaat! Another one!? Yippie!! Vile you look absolutely beautiful!! Your glasses are reflecting a little purple and it makes you look like you have purple eyeshadow on. Lol Oh Aubrey that cross stich piece is amazing!! What an awesome idea!! The refire mug with satin patina, did you just use rose quartz and satin patina? Did you overlap them at all? It’s a gorgeous combo. The planter is soo cool!! She can just put another pot in there. GREAT idea making a little extra for the bigger orders. That poppy fields bowl is amazing!! Omg girl!!!! You know I LOVE the tooled leather piece!! My gosh!! It’s stunning!! So you just used iron wash on it and didn’t wipe it back? It looks like a yummmmy brown clay!! What a beautiful kiln load! My gosh you did so well. I pray your show went well.
Wonderful unload Aubrey! Wondering with the black unglazed wiped back and leather, do you avoid the under glazed areas when applying glaze or does it show through the glaze. Thanks! Nice to see you back with some videos 😊
Thank you! I have an Ender 3 Pro that I found new on Facebook marketplace for $100. Works great for my needs, but the real skill comes in designing the stamps lol. That’s complicated lol

No cookie needed. I’ll try to remember to show them in the kiln next time 😊

The rose quarts and satin patina have about a one inch overlap. Sometimes it turns blue and sometimes a mirror green, depending on kiln temp.
And yes I just used iron wash without wiping it back (because I forgot to lol) but it still turned out pretty.
@ Thanks
Do you have any videos of the 3D printing process?
I haven’t filmed any of that process but I’ve been asked a few times so I’ll add it to my list 😊

I paint the leather right over it, it shows through 😊
I love your creativity. Amazing detail. Enjoying your videos! You are becoming my favorite potter!
