We're too old to care if people make fun of us and I think it inspires people to see all skill levels not just expert like Poppin John. You guys should post video's I'd watch them... who knows who you may inspire!

Haha. My wife used to giggle at me too but I do it so much she just kinda deals with it now. I do it in the grocery store, dropping my kids off at school everywhere really. She will ask me, honey did you take the trash out and I will jump off the couch before she even finished her sentence and I will start Poppin and locking busting fresh robot moves and slides. It shuts her up and she just goes to another room until I am done.

As a teen (a few 100 years ago) this was my specialty although I did some break dance moves as well, and I won two national dance championships in Europe and the Middle East. In fact I was offered to compete in the World Dance Championship at the time but visa issues (long story) didn’t allow for it. We did similar moves to these at the time and I had a few unique ones myself similar to the newer slow-motion styles of today- I had no idea that they would become mainstream back then as some moves were uniquely mine and no others were doing them at the time. Glad to see development of these moves. Respect to your routine man. I enjoyed it. Great shirt by the way. My only advice to make the routine even better is to use more ground to and fro, back and forth.
Been watching your vids all weekend because i had an operation over 5 weeks ago and couldn't dance. I got the bandage off Friday but i am just getting used to choreographing again. Your videos help me so much to be able to do that. Thanks poppin john. Also, you're still the best dancer i know.
I think if I had to define "Poppin" or come up with a standard, it would be 97% animated movements. You just can't do whatever, and say you're "Poppin". No you're not. This right here, is Poppin, and to make it real, the music and clothes you wear have to be just right to create the reality defying illusion.

Last season BluPrint and Droid were on there, but they didn't go very far. I'm glad to see Poppin John made it through the duels
If one of my kids could dance like this, i'd just take him out of school, say i home schooled him and fake a diploma... just so we could make a buck off this level of perfection.

Poppin John, you're a beast. I'm 52 and I would like to see you pop to something old school like" looking for the perfect beat, al naafiysh, Planet Rock or Tour de France." That would really be smooth, since I'm from that time of break dancing.
Everytime I see a new vid, you just keep reinventing your form, polishing and flawlessly executing it, John! I loved how you pushed your glasses back up on your nose when they looked like they were sliding down and seamlessly combined it in your choreography 1:50 (not sure if that was in the original choreography or not)! Bravo! Top shelf dancing man!
